Line Up: Barker, Simmonds, Doyle, Sedgmen
Comments: Newport take 1-3.
Barker appeared to jump the gate but ref let it go. Simmonds in mix early on but the Newport pair tucked in to prevent him from making a move. Barker won by a postcode.

Heat 02: Hughes, Jones, Pickard, Kurtz 4-2 7-5 52.48
Line Up: Hughes, Pickard, Jones, Kurtz
Comments: Messy!. Hughes gated level with Jones but the Devil comfortably won the 1st bend battle and won easily. Behind him though exiting turn 2 the 2 Wasp riders clattered into each other allowing Pickard up the inside and into 2nd. It stayed that way for a lap until Pickard picked up grip on turn 2 lap 2 nearly taking out Hughes before dropping back to 3rd. It stayed that way and Kurtz seemed to struggle a bit at the back.

Heat 03: Gjedde, Kristiansen, Aspegren, Pickard 2-4 9-9 51.31
Line Up: Kristiansen, Pickard, Aspegren, Gjedde
Comments: Pickard takes R/R
Stopped: Aspegren ploughs through tapes and will go off 15 metres.
Re-run: From gate for Gjedde, Kristiansen right up his exhaust for 2 laps before making a mistake on bend 2 allowing Gjedde to pull away, Aspegren had a real go around the boards and produced a brilliant cutback after drifting wide bend 2 of lap 4 to pass Pickard up the inside, Cracking move that.

Line Up: Stichauer, Hughes, Lanham, Kurtz
Comments: Stopped: Hughes jumped although it took the ref a lap to put red lights on.
Re-run: Stopped, Stichauer fell on bend 3 lap 1 and is excluded.
Re-run: From gate, Lanham looking good, Ominous for the Devils.

Comments: Stichauer takes R/R.
Wasps trapped but a cracking pass around the boards on bend 4 got Kristiansen in front of Sedgmen, Then Jesper never far away from Doyle but never close enough to challenge.

Comments: What a ride from Barker!!. Last to first after missing the gate and getting stuffed in a tight 1st bend, He flew straight around the boards on bends 3-4 lap 1 to pass Jones and Simmonds before sweeping around Lanham bend 2 lap 2, Brilliant!!. Simmonds not far off Lanham by the end.

Comments: A lesson in gating there from the Wasps and despite giving their all the Devils just couldnt get near, Simmo trying so hard he nearly lost it a couple of times.

From gate for Lanham, But Kristiansen looked like he was going to get around him on opening bends but just made a mistake losing his momentum, Easy for Lanham after that., Track dusty and passing at a premium.

From gate for Barker and comfortable, Gjedde rode a sensible race just sitting behind in 2nd, Aspegren though having a real go and nearly lost it just hanging onto 3rd on the line.

Comments: Oh dear!. Doyle gates with Devils in 2nd and 3rd but Sticky made a hash of bend 1 which buggered up Hughes leaving a double decker sized gap for Sedgmen to duly oblige. The Aussie wasps then disappeared into the sunset. Hughes retired lap 3.

Stopped: Kristiansen trying to go round Doyle clipped his wheel on bend 1 lap 2 causing both to fall, Kristiansen excluded correct decision despite some silly people on bend 1 giving Doyle stick!!.
Re-run: Stopped as unsatisfactory start, Doyle jumped, All 3 back, Doyle getting stick still from the bend 1 lot.
Re-run: From gate, Great max from Barker, Superb from Newport the better team won.

Evening and welcome to the SBA its quite windy, not the warmest but dry so all is good to go.
Track looks slick and very dry but is being watered, the bends have been roughed up nicely.

Plymouth fans around Mikey, Think Newport will take all 4 points tonight. Wheres the faith!!!.
