Heat Results[/u]
Heat 01: Barker, Irving, Harrison, Hughes, 49.78, 3-3
Line Up: Barker, Hughes, Harrison , R/R- Irving
Comments: Irving is rider replacement. Barker out traps brilliantly winning by a mile in the second fastest premier league time at the sba. Hughes missed the gate and couldn't trouble the team riding comet pair before losing power on the last lap.
Sponsored by www.enjaydesigns.net
Heat 02: Irving, Ingalls, Franchetti, Cockle 52.35, 1-5, 4-8.
Line Up: Franchetti , Cockle , Irving , Ingalls
Comments: Cockle gated initially but soon found himself relegated to third behind Irving and Gino. Ingalls who pulled a big locker on the opening turns brilliantly picked off the devils at will. He passed Cockle up the inside of bend 3 lap 1 and did the same to Franchetti a lap later.

Heat 03: Re run: Lawson, Kristiansen, Hughes, Nielsen (Fx) 51.44, 3-3, 7-11
Line Up: Kristiansen, R/R- Hughes, Nielsen , Lawson
Comments:Hughes is rider replacement. Stopped Nielsen and Kristiansen down on bend 1 lap 2, Kristiansen trying to pass round the outside at the time. From my view it looked as though Kristiansen and Nielsen touched but it was a tight one. Ref has excluded Nielsen though it could have gone either way! All up and ok though re run shortly.
Re run: Lawson wins from the gate but kristiansen was close for the 2nd half of the race. Hughes struggling from the tapes was left for dead, lost power in lap 2 but got it going again to finish
Sponsored by: www.speedway-games.co.uk
Heat 04: Ingalls, Wells, Cockle, Topinka (Fell) 3-3, 10-14 Race awarded
Line Up: Wells , Cockle , Topinka , Ingalls
Comments: Ingalls and Wells made the start but Kenny had the inside line and exited turn 2 infront. He went on to extend his lead from Wells looking quick and stylish. Topinka meanwhile was at the back making no real impression on Cockle before falling on his own bend 4 lap 3. Race awarded, Topinka up and ok.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Harrison, Kristiansen, Ingalls, Cockle time 51.84, 2-4, 12-18
Line Up: Kristiansen, R/R- Cockle, Harrison , R/R- Ingalls
Comments: Harrison from the tapes led Kristiansen to the first turn with Ingalls making a shocker. Harrison comfortable out front although kristiansen got closer by the end. Ingalls lined up Cockle over the first 2 laps before passing him up the inside of the back straight lap 3 for third.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Barker, Topinka, Irving, Hughes (Fx) 51.34, 3-3, 15-21
Line Up: Barker, Hughes, Topinka , Irving
Comments: Stopped Hughes fell bend 1 on his own and is excluded from the re run.
Re run: Stopped Irving and Barker down on bend 1 all 3 back.
Re run: Topinka from the gate and led until Barker flew around him on turn 4 lap 1. Strung out after that but Topinka looked much better!

Heat 07: Wells, Franchetti, Nielsen, Lawson 51.53, 5-1, 20-22.
Line Up: Wells , Franchetti , Nielsen , Lawson
Comments: Good race but strange! Lawson gated and led but slowed going into turn 3 dramatically for some reason. Allowing Wells passed him. Franchetti who was last going into bend 3 went around Lawson and under Nielsen into 2nd with a great move he then stayed 2nd despite heavy pressure from Nielsen. Just been announced some muppet with a red light on their camera on bend 3 caused Lawson to almost stop thinking the race had been stopped.
Sponsored by Merlin
Heat 08: Cockle, Ingalls, Lawson, Hughes 52.47, 3-3, 23-25
Line Up: Hughes, Cockle , R/R- Lawson, Ingalls
Comments: Cockle gated like a shot and rode a great first and second bend to keep ingalls back. Ingalls then up cockles exhaust for the duration of the race but couldn't find a way through
Sponsored by
Heat 09: Wells, Irving, Topinka, Kristiansen (Fx) 52.87, 3-3, 26-28.
Line Up: Kristiansen, R/R- Wells , Topinka , Irving
Comments: Race Stopped! Topinka and Irving fell. Up and ok after treatment, Kristiansen excluded from the re run.
Re run : Topinka gated but wells kept it down low to lead exiting bend 2, Topinka then pulled up clearly suffering from his fall in the first running of the heat, he managed to finish for the point at the back

Heat 10: Barker, Lawson, Franchetti, Nielsen 52.80, 4-2, 30-30
Line Up: Barker, Franchetti , Nielsen , Lawson
Comments: Barker gated and won with ease. Franchetti was left at the start but flew around Nielsen exiting bend 4 lap 2 as you were after that.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Ingalls, Harrison, Wells, Cockle, 52.31. 1-5, 31-35
Line Up: Wells , Cockle , Harrison , R/R- Ingalls
Comments:
Sponsored by
Heat 12: Franchetti, Kristiansen, Irving (x), Ingalls (x) 52.81, 5-0, 36-35
Line Up: Kristiansen, Cockle , Nielsen , Irving
Comments: Stopped Ingalls down on first bend to avoid cockle who pulled a big locker. All 4 back.
Re run: Stopped both Comets down bend 3 lap 1, both up and ok Ref has excluded Irving for the cause of the stoppage as he went down first and for some reason Ingalls also excluded for not being under power. Woeful decision and the comets fans rightly not happy.

Heat 13: Barker, Harrison, Wells, Irving 52.09, 4-2, 40-37
Line Up: Barker, Wells , Harrison , Irving
Comments: From the gate for barker who won with ease. Wells all over Irving and passed him up the inside entering lap 3.

Heat 14: kristiansen, Lawson, Ingalls, Franchetti 51.84, 3-3, 43-40
Line Up: R/R- Kristiansen, Franchetti , Lawson , Ingalls
Comments: Lawson gates but kristiansen rides wide to pass him around the boards on turn 4 lap 1 with a cracking move. As you were after that.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Barker, Harrison, Wells, Lawson 52.31, 4-2, 47-42
Line Up: Barker, Wells, Lawson, Harrison
Comments: Devils take gates 1 and 3. Unsat start all 4 back.
Re run: What a race to end stunning!! Barker gates into the lead and after running wide on bend 2 got the run to extend his lead down the back straight. Harrison though gave chase and after barker lifted exiting bend 2 lap 3 Harrison got through to lead. Barker having dropped back to third after by going wide on turn 4 lap 3 wound it on to get up the inside of Lawson entering lap 4 before getting up the inside of Harrison on the final bend. Super stuff to finish. Good night from me

Teams to be confirmed.
Ref is Christina Turnbull
18.57 - It's chilly and windy but dry and has been all day. Track is slick as normal with the bends ripped up and has been watered. Big news to follow...
19.00 - Justin Sedgmen has quit Plymouth with immediate effect. He notified the Plymouth promotion this morning. I'm led to believe his poor form and confidence issues helped his decision. Plymouth will run r/r for the rest of the season as the signings deadline has now passed. I can also confirm travis McGowan won't be signing for the devils as reported in the press as his paperwork couldn't be sorted before the deadline.
19.18 - Good to see a few comets fans in attendance next to me on the back straight
21.10 Drama continues here tonight as a fire has just started in the neighbouring industrial estate!
21.14 Fire brigade arrived to put the fire out
