Heat Results
Heat 01: Roynon, Branford, White-Williams, Andrews (Fell) 4-2 56.76
Line Up: Roynon, White-Williams, Branford, Andrews
Comments: Royno stalls at the gate to give us last second panic but got is push started in time. He flew to a new NL track record of. Only action was Andrews being close for a lap but slipping off when last turn 1 lap 2. Up and ok.

Heat 02: Ritchings, Greenwood, Neale, Blacklock (EF) 5-1 9-3
Line Up: Ritchings, Greenwood, Neale, Blacklock
Comments: Easy for the Heathens from the gate. Neale big mistake turn 3/4 sent him towards the fence. He half saved it, bumped the fence, stalled and kinda parked there. He got off pushed it over the line to start last lap just before Ritchings lapped him. He pushed to back straight then bike fired up and he rides home for the point

Heat 03: Perry, Bekker, Felton, Priest (Fell & Rem) 5-1 14- 4
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, Priest, Felton
Comments:Boris making mistakes gave Felton a little false hope for a couple of laps before he edged clear. Perry shot out the start and was so far clear he was throttling off half way down the straight the last lap and half

Heat 04: Morris, Greenwood, McKinna, Blacklock 5-1 19-5
Line Up: Morris, Greenwood, McKinna, Blacklock
Comments: Stopped. Ash nudged off turn 1. Dan had made a cracking start and led down the back straight. A4B
Re-Run: Easy for the Heathens. Dan shot out first again. Morris clean start as well and rounds his team mate turn 2 lap 1. He cruised away. Greenwood comfortable in 2nd all the way

Heat 05: Perry, Branford, Andrews, Bekker 3-3 22-8
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, Branford, Andrews
Comments: Tight first turn but Fred sorts it out down the back straight and edges further clear throughout
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Roynon, Mckinna, White- Williams, Neale 3-3 26-10
Line Up: Roynon, White-Williams, McKinna, Neale
Comments: Heathens gated. Just as Royno looked back Mckinna moved onto 2nd down the back straight so he decides to turn tail and go. He's back in the pits having a sit down before the rest finish!

Heat 07: Morris, Felton, Priest, Ritchings 3-3 29-13
Line Up: Morris, Ritchings, Priest, Felton
Comments: Morris making it look easy a mile clear. Ritchings crept inside Priest for third going into turn 3 first time but an error sent him a little wide. Smart turn, primarily to avoid a collision, by Priest saw him immediately take the place back. Ritchings worked overtime to get back on terms but went into turn 1 last lap a bit hot and lost ground again

Heat 08: Greenwood, White-Williams, Andrews, Blacklock (Fell) 5-1 34-14
Line Up: White-Williams, Greenwood, Andrews, Blacklock
Comments: Wow Dan is transformed. Beautiful start again and won by half the length of the straight. Small mistake by W-W early on but he corrected and cruised to 2nd.

Heat 09: Perry, Mckinna, Bekker, Neale 4-2 38-16
Line Up: Perry, Bekker, McKinna, Neale
Comments:Even break between Perry and Mckinna. Don't know if it was deliberately dirty or a little overly competitive but ran Mckinna ran Perry all the way to the fence turn 1 lap 1 and still kept squeezing him until Perry appeared to hit the fence coming off turn 2. That allowed Bekker passed both. Coming off turn 4 lap 1 Bekker pulled a locker and Perry steamed underneath to go from 3rd to 1st in one move and slammed the door shut on the outside to make sure Mckinna had no line. Cruised away then. Bekker challenged until a lap 3 turn 2 wide turn lost him ground.

Heat 10: Roynon, Priest, White-Williams, Felton 4-2 42-18
Line Up: Roynon, White-Williams, Priest, Felton
Comments: WW destroys the tapes...completely! He'll go off 15m
Re-Run: Royno in a class of one. He's not just winning he's looking very classy tonight. Fast and stylish. Super ride by WW to chase down and make an inside pass on Felton coming off 4 lap 2. Went after Priest but too much ground to make up. WW gets the biggest cheer of the night when the result was announced.

Heat 11: Branford, Morris, Ritchings, Andrews 3-6 45-24
Line Up: Morris, Ritchings, Branford, Andrews
Comments: Branford tac ride. Andrews snapped chain at the gate. Branford gates and Morris gives chase. He got close going in to lap 2 but then Branford pulls out a little middle two laps. Turn 1 last lap Branford makes a small mistake and just as it looks Morris can close right in he makes a small mistake too. Turn 4 last lap Branford makes a bigger mistake and again Morris makes a small mistake and misses his chance on the last lap. Branford comes around to generous applause for taking a win at last for the visitors.

Heat 12: Perry, Greenwood, Neale, Priest (Fx) 5-1 50-25
Line Up: Perry, Greenwood, Priest, Neale
Comments: Priest tac ride. Priest discluded for causing a stoppage. I think the engine packed up when 2nd going in to turn 3 lap 1. He fell and Dan laid it down to be safe. Both riders are up and fine
Re-Run: Heathens from the gate. Perry wins at a canter, looking back off every turn to make sure his team mate is safe and sound in 2nd. And safe and sound he was with an easy 2nd to complete a paid max. Congrats Dan.

Heat 13: Roynon, Morris, Branford, McKinna 5-1 55-26
Line Up: Roynon, Morris, Branford, McKinna
Comments:Royno with ease. Morris held an easy 2nd until a big mistake turn 4 lap 3 allowed Branford up the inside. Morris then compounded his loss of speed by clouting a rut on the start line so hard it nearly threw him off, but he recovered superbly to make a cracking turn 1/2 for the last time. He charged hard down the back straight and got inside Branford. On the exit he drifted out a touch to cover any run to the line Branford might have made. Great last lap recovery.

Heat 14: Bekker, Ritchings, Felton, Blacklock (Fx) 5-1 60-27
Line Up: Bekker, Ritchings, Felton, Blacklock
Comments: Blacklock falls turn 1 lap 1 on his own. Awkward looking fall but to his credit he gets straight up to try to clear the track. Ref plays it safe and stops the heat. He is discluded. Ritchings had gated well and Bekker had come around to be on for another 5-1. The Heathens need to do it all again in the restart. Hoping for a confidence boosting win for Ritchings.
Re-Run: Race of the night. Felton initially challenging Bekker on the inside but Ritchings went around him on turn 1/2 lap 2. It's then Ritchings and Felton who go shoulder to shoulder for Yeh rest of the race. Ritchings by half a length on the line.
Sponsored by Splod [/b]
Heat 15: Perry, Morris, Branford, McKinna 5-1 65-28
Line-up: Perry, Morris, Branford, McKinna
Comments: Heathens off 1 and 3. Mckinna has steamed through the tapes. Now here's a first. The green light wasn't on so he's NOT discluded for breaking the tapes. However, the ref has discluded him for delaying the start. Hmm technically right I suppose. While there's a short delay - Rider of the night is Dan Greenwood so Tom Perry gets a new back tyre. Yes, you read that right and I'm as confused as the rest of you! McKinna goes off 15m in the re-run.
Perry makes a determined start and first turn to make damn sure he was getting his nose in front. He clears off for his first full max in speedway. Congrats Fred.
Morris makes a cracking turn 3/4 lap 1 to turn under Branford for second place. A lap layer Branford pulls the same move but lifts on the exit. Morris is forced to shut off to see where Branford ends up but soon decides screw it I'm going outside you no matter how tight it gets. Branford tried to come back at him but the Heathens round off in style. Good race to end.
While Morris celebrates with wheelies the rest of the Heathens camp rush our to meet Perry at the start gate to give him 'the bumps'. Greenwood and then Royno go vertical to celebrate their maximum returns too.

Comments:
Teams now confirmed.
After all the cool wet weather we've had a relatively warm dry day so the track should be perfect. :-)
Bad start for Buxton. Neale slid off on warm up laps but got straight up and immediately did a practice start so think he's fine. Blacklock looped it and fell heavily doing a practice start. He's up, a little winded but walked away rubbing his backside. And to top it all I think Branford packed up as he returned to the pits and had to push the bike back.
After match interviews - Perry asked where now after his recent good form. He says he's hoping to challenge for a top 5 position with Somerset and then cheekily says maybe challenge Royno for the number 1 race jacket here. Royno laughed! lol
Royno admits he was out there actively after the track record tonight. He said he's wanted it since being with us.
Royno out practicing. Makes a mess of turn 3/4, works miracles to regain some sort of control but clips the fence, almost falls but saves it. Phew! He then plays to the crowd fisting the air to convey his relief. There's only one Adam Roynon lol
Last one - Dan did get a new back tyre as well.
Thank you and good night. :-)
