Rockets won the coin toss and chose 2 & 4 in heat 1
Heat 01 re run: Allen, Lykke, Proctor, Schramm (fell, ex)... 1-5; 51.82
Lykke is the rider replacement
Allen made a cracking start, but Schramm picked up grip on bend 2 lap 2 and ended up on his arse! Up and ok, but excluded from the rerun.
Proctor fell bend 1 when about level with Allen. He remounted to finish, but bike not sounding good by the end of the race

Heat 02: Kurtz, Lykke, Morley, Reade... 3-3; 4-8; 52.31
Kurtz made a beauty with Lykke close for a couple of laps, never threatening to pass though. Morley rode well to keep Reade at bay.

Heat 03: Mellgren, Gathercole, Garrity, Lemon... 2-4; 6-12; 51.59
Gathercole from the tapes and was looking in control, but Mellgren got inside on the back straight and drifted out enough on the 4th bend to chop Gathercoles nose off and take the lead. Lemon struggling with the track big time!

Heat 04: Kling, Nelson, Reade, Morley... 4-2; 10-14; 52.28
Kling from the gate and never looked in much trouble. Reade made a good start, but Nelson passed him bend 2 round the outside. The front two were well ahead by the end. Track very dusty and being watered.

Heat 05 rerun: Lykke, Lemon, Gathercole, Allen (fell, exc)... 3-3; 13-17; 53.28
Lykke is the rider replacement.
Rockets gated, then Gathercole came storming between them, clipping Allen who fell. Babs excluded Allen! Mikey reckons that was a harsh decision.
Lykke made a fantastic start and rode inside for 4 laps. Lemon never looked quick enough to pass although he was trying the outside line. Gathercole looked quicker, but couldn't get passed Lemon

Morley replaces Lykke.
Nelson got a flyer, ref stopped the race. All4back.

Mellgren like a scladed cat from the inside gate and that was that! Kling close, but the track doesn't appear to have any drive outide of the white line.

Heat 08: Kurtz, Lykke, Nelson, Schramm (fell)... 3-3; 21-27; no time
Nelson is the rider replacement. Lykke replaces Morley... Kurtz replaces Reade.
Kurtz made a bliner and was untroubled. Best battle of the night behind as Schramm was all over Lykke trying everything. He went too wide on bend 1 lap 3 which allowed Nelson through. These two were neck and neck into turn 3 with Schramm on the outside where he then fell. Didn't look like too much contact, but Babs excuded Schramm and awarded the race. Schramm up and ok

Nelson jumped the start. All4back
Babs excludes Nelson after a second jump which he wasn't pleased about!. Replaced by Morley.
Morley dropped a chain on the start line and sparks fly!
The Devils gated to an easy 5-1, although Lykke never gave up.

Garrity gated with Schramm in 2nd. Mellgren made the move of the night to fire himself round Schramm and Garrity on bends 3/4 lap 1. Proctor was poor after missing the gate and pulled up on lap 3

Garrity made an unbelievable first turn to get around the Devils pair and join the fast gating Allen up front.

Decent race to end with. Lemon get round Nelson going into bend 3 lap 1 to take the lead, then both Rockets wewre all over him. Lemon doing well to block. Mellgren went for the inside line and both he and Lemon go down. Mellgren excluded, race awarded
