Heat Results
Heat 01: Branford, Neale, Bowtell,, Mogridge 2-4 61.8 (Clegg - 2 Minutes / Excluded)
Line Up:Clegg - 2 Minutes Mogridge , Neale, Branford, Bowtell
Comments: Clegg missed the 2 minutes and is replaced by Mogridge in the re-run.
Re-Run: Unsatisfactory start, all 4 back for the re-run.
I'd have told Mogridge to smash the tapes for a fresh 2 minutes. Then tell him to miss the 2 minutes for another fresh 2 minutes. Clegg could get here from Glasgow in that time lol.
Re-Run X2: Branford rounded Neale bend 2 for the lead but otherwise uneventful.
Sponsored by www.jaybeadesigns.co.uk/
Heat 02: Mogridge, Wood, Harris, Hunter 4-2 6-6 63.8
Line Up: Mogridge, Harris, Woods, Hunter
Comments: Mogridge has destroyed the tapes. I'd refer to this as an assault on the tapes. Quelle surprise Mogridge off 15 metres in the re-run.
Re-Run: Mogridge last to first in a lap. Nearly fell off bend 4 lap 2 the won it by literally half the length of this straight.

Heat 03: Perks, Neale, Chessell, Priest - Fell / Remounted 5-1 11-7 61.3
Line Up: Perks, R/R - Neale, Priest, Chessell
Comments: Neale is for rider replacement.
Priest slipped off bend 1 lap 1. Perks and Neale hit the front and we're comfortable.

Heat 04: Hughes, Williamson, Hunter, Harris 2-4 13-11 62.1
Line Up: Williamson, Harris, Hughes, Hunter
Comments: Williamson under Hunter on bend 3 lap 1 for2nd. Impressive start by Hunter and was comfortably 3rd.

Heat 05: Branford, Perks, Mogridge, Bowtell 3-3 16-14 61.1
Line Up: Perks, R/R - Mogridge, Branford, Bowtell
Comments: Mogridge is for rider replacement.
Good gate by Perks but a lovely first bend by Branford to round him. Well spread out.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Hughes, Neale, Woods 2-4 18-18 62.6 (Clegg - Excluded)
Line Up: Clegg, Neale, Hughes, Woods
Comments: Race Stopped, Clegg locked up and ground to a halt middle of the bend. Caused Hughes to take action to avoid a pile up. Clegg is excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Super opening lap by Neale to hit the front and make Hughes work harder then he'd want to. Hughes comes through off bend 4 lap 1 for the lead.

Heat 07: Chessell, Williamson, Priest, Harris 2-4 20-22 62.4
Line Up: Williamson, HarrisMogridge, Priest, Chessell
Comments: Harris replaces Mogridge.
Williamson gated. Superb opening lap by Chessell. Williamson pushed him as hard as he could fairly but Chessell kept it wound on and rounded him off bend 4 lap 1 to win. Great race.

Heat 08: Neale, Mogridge, Bowtell, Hunter 5-1 25-23 63.4
Line Up: Neale, MogridgeHarris, Bowtell, Hunter
Comments: Mogridge replaces Harris.
That was interesting. Super gate by Hunter. Heathens went either side of him off bend 2 lap 1. Bowtell went steaming into bend 3 lap 1. As he passed Hunter for 3rd, Hunter fell and remounted. Bowtell and Mogridge managed to avoid contact and Bowtell again kept it screwed on into bend 1 lap 2. He got past Mogridge and was 2nd down the backstraight but immediately threw it away by slipping off. He remounted for 3rd.

Heat 09: Perks, Hughes, Mogridge, Woods 4-2 29-25 62.4
Line Up: Clegg, R/R - Mogridge, Hughes, Woods
Comments: Mogridge is for rider replacement.
Heathens rode a good first bend. Mogridge managed to hold off Hughes for a lap and half. Hughes ultimately too good for him out wide in the dirt but great effort by Mogridge. Crucially it allowed Perks to get clear.

Heat 10: Clegg, Priest, Chessell, Neale 3-3 32-28 61.8
Line Up: Perry, Neale, Priest, Chessell
Comments: Welcome to the party pal! Clegg missed the start and rode a poor first turn. Rounded Neale and Chessell in one move on bends 3 and 4 lap 1 and out after Priest. Caught him and lap later and executed a lovely cut back to take the lead on bend 1 lap 3. He then cleared off well clear at the front.

Heat 11: Williamson, Bowtell, Harris, Branford - Engine Failure 4-2 36-30 62.5
Line Up: Williamson, HarrisMogridge, Branford, Bowtell
Comments: Harris replaces Mogridge.
Super start by Williamson and looked set for a good race but Branford's engine failure while 2nd during lap 1 smells expensive unfortunately. Harris pushing but near close enough to make a move.

Heat 12: Perks, Mogridge, Priest, Woods 5-1 41-31 62.5
Line Up: Clegg, MogridgeHarris, Priest, Woods
Comments: Mogridge replace Harris.
Great race between Mogridge and Priest. Priest looked to be on a charge after Perks but Mogridge stormed under him around bend 3 lap 1 and seemed to surprise Priest. Certainly surprised me. Great move. Likewise a super move into the following turn by Priest to retake 2nd. Mogridge turned it hard and got back under Priest again coming off bend 2 lap 2. Priest pushed but couldn't challenge again Great race.

Heat 13: Branford, Clegg, Hughes 2-4 43-35 60.2 (Williamson - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Perry, Williamson, Branford, Hughes
Comments: Race Stopped, Williamson down bends 3 and 4 lap 1, he ran out of room as it all tightened up on him and is excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Very impressive ride by Branford. Maybe he should have started on this bike as that was only a second off the track record which is good at this stage. He looked classy hanging off the bike out in the dirt. Clegg was giving it everything but was slowly falling back.

Heat 14: Perks, Chessell, Hunter 3-3 46-38 63.0 (Mogridge - Fell . Excluded)
Line Up: R/R - Perks, Mogridge, Chessell, Hunter
Comments: Perks is for rider replacement.
Race Stopped. Mogridge started well. Chessell rode a brilliant first turn and backstraight to hit the front. Mogridge pushed hard under him. Cornered quicker than Chessell and had to lay down or clout him. Perks did well to react to miss Mogridge but also fell. Both lads straight up. Mogridge excluded from the re-run, it's a shame as he's had a really solid night for us.
Re-Run: Chessell knocked Perks off on the way to the corner then fell off himself. All 3 back for the re-run.
Re-Run X2: Lovely first bend by Perks to turn under Chessell, squeezed him up nicely and clear off by half a straight.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Race Awarded: Clegg, Branford, Hughes, Perks - Fell / Excluded 3-3 49-41
Line-up: Perks, Clegg, Branford, Hughes
Comments: Cradley on 2+4 and Rye House choose 1+3.
And still it drags on... Perks breaks the tapes and goes off 15 metres in the re-run.
Re-Run: Super start by Clegg. Hugged the inside to block Branford then went for the dirt line on bends 3 and 4 lap 1. That pulled him clear and he remained out of reach for Branford he was charging hard. Perks rode a stormier to catch Hughes after a lap or so. He was all overt the back of Hughes but overdid it middle of bends 1 and 2 lap 4 and took a heavy fall. He's up after a couple of minutes or so.

They're running Heat 1 of the MDL before the bronze helmet. Tapes have been destroyed again. This will make you all laugh. In light of the time the referee has asked the start marshall to repair the tapes with just one piece of tape, not two lol.
Bronze Helmet Race: Branford, Clegg 61.3
Line-up: Clegg (outside gate), Branford (inside gate)
Comments: Congrats Rob. Cracking effort by Clegg. He tried outside and inside but Branford didn't put a wheel wrong. Good race to end a good meeting. Well done Rye House on contributing to a good night's entertainment.

News from Cradley Twitter: A huge thanks to Tom Perry who dropped everything at short notice to dash to the track to be on standby as our No.1 this evening. However, Max Clegg, who has been stuck in traffic, will now take his place at No.1 as programmed in tonight's meeting.
