Comments:
Teams confirmed.
there will be a short delay in starting due to the sun.
Edinburgh win the toss and take 2 & 4
Heat 01: Mills and Sneddon tight on second bend, Mills never really close after that
Heat 02: Easy 5-1 from the gate. Tully passed Irwin last lap
Heat 03: Laukkanen passed Lee second bend. Lee always on his tail for the rest of his race and re-passed Laukkanen on the final bend, helped by Nermark slowing the race down (although Mr M isn't sure that was deliberate!)
Heat 04: Tully was more on the pace in that one and was never far behind Compton
Heat 05: Stancl led from the gate. nermark lined him up early and passed him into the third bend leaving a nice big gap for Lee to take advantage of. Sneddon had an engine failure on the last lap whilst at the back
Heat 06: Great battle for second. Wethers all over Mills till he got a wee bit oout of shape on the last lap and his challenge was over
Heat 07: Laukkanen from the gate and was never challenged. Mr Mungo is still trying to work out why the hell he wasn't on a TR!
Heat 08: Cracking ride by Mills to move from third to first on second lap
Heat 09: Wethers passed Lee lasp one and Lee re-passed him second lap. Wethers close for the rest of the race
Heat 10: Laukkanen passed Mills entering third bend. King Jamie is slowly working his way through the crowd - don't think there will be many Kings Lynn fans he hasn't met by the end of the night!!
Heat 11: Nasty crash between Hardin g and Stancl. Harding picked up grip and Stancl couldn't avoid him. More details when known. Harding excluded from re-run. Ambulance on track
Stancl now up and walking back to pits
Harding is off to hospital and has withdrawn from the meeting
r/r - good battle for 1st. Stancl always challenging but couldn't find a way through
Heat 12: Laukkanen takes TR
Excellent cut back by Laukkanen on the first lap to pass Nermark. Nermark was close for teh rest of the race but there was no way through. There was a good battle for third as well
Heat 13: Brundle made the gate. Topinka passed Stancl at the end of the first lap and shielded Brundle for the next couple of laps which was fine until Topinka almost collided with Brundle on lap 3! Wethers came from nowhere and just lost out by a whisker on the line.
Heat 14:Lee pulled off another one of his fine outside swoops on Tully lap two
Heat 15:Line Up Lee Topinka Laukkanen Sneddon
Ridiculously tight on first lap! Laukannen held off Topinka by a whisker on the line
Many thanks again to Mr Mungo for the text and thanks for watching
