Heat Results
Heat 01: Re-Run: Edwards, Clegg, Harris, Rutherford 3-3 (3-3) 57.87
Line Up: Clegg, Harris, Edwards, Rutherford
Comments: Great start, Clegg excluded for exceeding 2 minutes. Time ticking away and no sense of urgency whatsoever. Clegg off 15m.
Re-Run: Harris levelled off turn 2 to lead. Edwards in close attendance made a sweet cutback lap 2 to lead. Harris close. Clegg breathing fire from the handicap came strong up behind them, got Harris but ran out of time to challenge Edwards. Another lap would of been tight, good ride Edwards.

Heat 02: Re-Run: McGurk, Chattin, Alcock 3-3 (6-6) 60.97 (Davies - Fell)
Line Up:Davies , McGurk, Chattin, Alcock
Comments: Stopped. Potters lead. Davies clipped Chattin's back wheel and high sided, heavy landing, still down.
All 4 back, dreadful decision. Ambulance coming out, he's awake, talking and has moved legs and sat up. Davies walked into ambulance, described as very groggy.
Davies was knocked out initially so he will withdraw from meeting.
Re-Run: Potters away. McGurk super turn 1&2 to steam past Chattin backstraight and set about Alcock. Stalked him and made an inside pass off turn 4 lap 3 for the win. Alcock tried to come back at him next corner but got it wrong and slipped off, remounted to finish. Harry's ride of the season by a mile!

Heat 03: Re-Run: Lawlor, Halsey, Priest, Spencer 2-4 (8-10) 57.87
Line Up: Spencer, Halsey, Lawlor, Priest
Comments: Stopped. Halsey smashes the tapes and is excluded, Lawlor warned. Halsey off 15m.
Re-Run: Lawlor got away with a twitch at start despite his warning. A worthy winner though. Looked quick and great style winning comfortably. Spencer made a good fist of it first half lap but Priest moved him out the way Halsey quickly passed both but no catching Lawlor, long gone.

Heat 04: Re-Run: Coles, Smith, McGurk, Alcock (F/X) 3-3 (11-13) 57.56
Line Up: Smith, McGurk, Coles, Alcock
Comments: Stopped Alcock excluded. Unlucky for the Harry Potters. Alcock away. Messy first corner though, Smith passed outside, Coles stormed under both going into turn 1. Smith turned hard early and for me Alcock had to get off or t-bone at least Smith or probably both. Smith then fell himself when nearly running into the back of Coles off turn 2. With both just starting to get up the ref stopped it and excluded Alcock, should of been both or neither for the texter.
Re-Run: Smith edged the start but lifted on 1st turn and had to action to avoid fence. Coles has freedom of monmore to pass inside and went clear to win, good ride.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Edwards, Spencer, Rutherford, Halsey (X) 2-4 (13-17) 59.06
Line Up: Spencer, Halsey, Edwards, Rutherford
Comments: Halsey leading with Edwards hard after him. Spencer holding steady 3rd. Last lap coming off 2 Halsey got all kinds of wrong and god alone knows how he stayed on. Bike should have spat him off in about 4 different ways. Excluded for crossing white line.

Line Up: Smith,Davies McGurk, Lawlor, Priest

Heat 08: Harris, Alcock, Rutherford, McGurk 3-3 (23-25) 59.32

There's a rainbow in the distance that's getting bigger by the minute which can only mean the showers are getting closer and closer.
Heat 10: Clegg, Lawlor, Harris, Priest 4-2 (31-29) 57.31
Line Up: Clegg, Harris, Lawlor, Priest

That first shower looks to have grazed past dangerously close but just missing us. No interval due to delays earlier so straight back out now after quick track grade.
Heat 12: Lawlor, Spencer, McGurk, Alcock 3-3 (36-36) 58.62
Line Up: Spencer, McGurk, Lawlor,Chattin Alcock
Comments: Alcock replaces Chattin.
What a effort by Spencer. Made the gate of his life to be a clear leader. Lawlor stayed calm, closed him down and made an inside pass across the start line into lap 3. Alcock closing in slipped off turn 1 lap 4 to gift Heathens a 3-3. And gift it was, McGurk was way way behind. Alcock remounted.

Spots of rain falling now.
Heat 13: Clegg, Smith, Edwards, Coles 5-1 (41-37) 57.72
Line Up: Clegg, Smith, Edwards, Coles
Comments: Even gate between Clegg & Edwards. Clegg seemed to hustle the bike and force it to get there first and move Edwards over a touch. Smith outgated Coles and made a lovely turn back under Edwards off turn 4 lap 1. Nice move. Jack needs a good night around here to get his confidence back on a smaller track. Good ride.

Heat 14: Re-Run: Halsey, Priest, Chattin, McGurk 3-3 (44-40) 59.75 (Chattin - Fell)
Line Up: Halsey,Davies McGurk, Priest, Alcock Chattin
Comments: McGurk replaces Davies.
Stopped. Awful crash on 1st turn. 2 of 3 up, ambulance on track for Alcock.
Pretty much even gate. McGurk pinged between Alcock from the outside coming across fairly off 4 and Halsey moving slightly off 2. All perfectly normal nobody did anything wrong. With McGurk getting his front wheel hit from both sides no chance to control it and went down with Alcock, also no chance to stay on. That was bad enough for those 2 but McGurk's bike got caught up on Halsey and a combination of him clearly losing control due to the contact and McGurk's bike essentially forcing him forwards he had a massive impact with the air fence. Couldn't get off his bike as McGurk's was all over him. An horrendous tangled mess of a crash. Miraculously dan emerged first to the stunned amazement. Chattin replaces Alcock.
Re-run From the gate. Priest never too far away. Chattin a long way back and McGurk equally a long way further back. Shook up or 2nd bike not up to scratch? Who knows but a long way back there. Still couple promising moments from him tonight.

Heat 15: Clegg, Coles, Smith, Lawlor 4-2 (48-42) 57.44
Line-up: Clegg, Smith, Coles, Lawlor
Comments: Clegg away. Smith & Coles shoulder to shoulder till Coles edged it turn 4 lap 1. As you were after that.
