Comments: Great start by Wood to take the lead, Ward 2nd, Simpson 3rd and James 4th. Simpson pushed hard and went up the inside of Ward to take 2nd on backstraight of lap 1. James was out of shape at the back on B2 L2 and luckily managed to stay on.

Re-run: Coles made a good gate to take the lead. Hook took 2nd on bend 2, James 3rd and Simpson 4th. James pushed Hook hard and nearly took 2nd on the closing bends, he hit a rut on B3 L4 and went out of shape, going wide which allowed Simpson to take 3rd for a shared heat.

Re-run: Good start by the Leicester lads. Nasty fall for the Edinburgh lads as both went down into bend 1. Both up shortly after the red lights went on. Wood is excluded as he caused both Edinburgh riders to go down.
Re-run x2: Great start by Simpson to take the lead. Boughen 2nd and James 3rd. Boughen passed Simpson for the lead on B2 L1. James pushed hard and got past for 2nd on B1 L4, he clipped Simpson's back wheel which caused him to fall. Simpson quickly got up and ran the last lap to ensure he got the point, crowd clapped him on, hard work in this heat!
