Wolves bikes out, nothing from Leicester. More track work taking place on bends 1 + 2, big blade out. Start further delayed until 8. They are saying recent rain has run down onto the inside of the bends causing soft patches.

Schlein with an absolute flyer gets out in front, Fricke and Masters fight tooth and nail for 2nd until B2 L2 when Fricke makes a mistake and Masters nearly gets up his inside. Fricke just holds on and we go to a super heat.

Fricke fell at the final bend when in a comfortable 2nd, looked like his chain snapped the way he fell. Max up after a while to big applause as it was a heavy fall. Schlein had almost passed Richie on laps 3 + 4 in what was at the time a vital battle for 3rd spot and the Wolves fans had all but lost hope.
