Teams confirmed. Kev made it on time
Sheffield win toss and take gates 1 and 3. (At least we've won something tonight - Updater comment)
Heat 1: Parsons touches tapes, Cooper replaces. Nermark round Cooper bend 2, lap 1.
Heat 2: Branney blocked Coopers run bend 2, lap 1 and that was that. Haines' fastest time round Derwent Park.
Heat 3: Wright gated, Compton moved him over but Nemo shot round them all. Nemo EF lap 3, bend 4 while well clear (i couldn't care less - Updater comment)
Heat 4: Haines takes R/R. Great race between front 2, swapping places numerous times before Haines went under Wilson bend 3, lap 4.
Heat 5: Ashworth fell bend 3, lap 1 and excluded from re-run.
Heat 6: Wilson gated but once Reima rounded him bend 2, lap 1 there was never any doubt that Nermark would follow, which he duly did home straight lap 1.
Heat 7: Wright takes R/R. Tigers on a 5-1 until Haines rounded Smethills bend 2, lap 4. Shocking team riding from Compton who just p***ed off into distance leaving Smethills to fend for himself.
Heat 8: Haines reserve ride for Branney. Tigers on 5-1 till Haines just pipped Parsons on the line. Allegedly, because from where Kev stands it was too close to call. Parsons only himself to blame for shutting off too early.
Heat 9: Wilson passed Wright back straight, lap 1. Comfortable win for Nemo. Wright will have to up his game if he's going to replace Haines at reserve.
Heat 10: Haines reserve ride for Reima. Easy for Nermark, easy for Haines after lap 1. Compton tried everything but went backwards. (did Smethills also go backwards? - Updater comment)
Heat 11: Nemo takes R/R. Nemo split Tigers paid bend 2, lap 1. Parsons stopped Haines outside run and that's what let Nemo through up inside.
Heat 12: Cooper reserve ride for Hopwood. Tigers on 5-1, Branney fell bend 1, lap 2 and is excluded from re-run.
Re-run: Nemo bulldozed Cooper out the way bend 1, then shot across Compton bend 2 for the win. Cooper fell same place as Branney lap 2. Nemo used Reimas bike.
Heat 13: Reima takes R/R. Nermark fell same place as Branney and Cooper bend 1, lap 4 when leading. Ashworth did well to lay bike down.
Heat 14: Tigers gated, Haines under Cooper bend 2, lap 2. Two good races in one after that.
Heat 15: Nermark Nieminen Ashworth Compton
Tigers win toss and take gates 1 and 3.
Compton wins the tigers a point with a tapes to flag victory, but cost them the chance of all 3 with his earlier disappearing act when riding with Smethills!
Haines given rider of the night.
Many thanks to Kev for the texts, and you lot for viewing.
