Comments:
Teams confirmed.
Ref: Christina Turnball
Well its damp but its not raining atm.
Charlie talking to Hans and Adam, Adam said track looks very wet and dangerous, work still being done, Chris Louis is on the track hope the tractor dosent mow him down
7.50pm start time
Middlo wants the track totally cleared of dirt, and relaid, apparantly Lee Richardson dosent wanna ride on it at all.
Starting to rain again, Middlo thinks it wont take much more to call it off.
Kelvin thinks conditions are ok, riders dont seem to be enjoying it walking the track.
Im pretty certain if Sky wasnt in town this wouldve been called off at about 7pm
Hans getting ready for heat 1, and apparantly Nigel Pearson can read riders minds. Hans doing a few laps of practice. not much of a test he is going round at about 10 mph, ooh hes speeding up full speed now, and he looked ok and track looks fine.
All riders are gonna have some practice laps it seems, 1 lap of practice each then we can start. Strangely all riders going round normal, but Lee Richardson out of control, im guessing Lee is not interested, and he is going back to the pits, crowd booing him, helmet off bad language, all riders for heat 1 seem ok apart from Richardson.
Lmao so much bad language flying round, Nigel Pearson having to make tons of apologies lol. great comedy.
Jon Cook being interviewed, he said Hans wants to ride because hes a hero but his guys dont want to.
Louis interviewing Richardson, Richardson wants to ride but hes claiming he cant turn the bike etc and so dosent plan on going out, he said this wouldve been called off at 6pm but cameras are here etc so of cause they wanna get it on.
Pearson now saying its not a great advert and not a great way to promote Speedway.
2 mins has just gone on, this will be interesting.
Lakeside off 1-3 if that matters.
Hans being interviewed he was pretty hard on first bend sweeping across Richardson, but in these conditions you gotta get to the front.
Gonna be a late night this one, anyone know the curfew for Poole lol.
Chris Holder being interviewed not the best way to make your return, he says the track not looking good at all. He said during practice his collar bone was hurting so the last thing he wants is to fall on it and in this conditions theres a good chance of that.
Blade is out now to tear up the track, this is gonna take a long time. Kelvin fears this could work or make things worse.
Screen being interviewed, he thinks Hans made a mistake by even going out before track was done properly, Screen says hes rode on worse but not at his age, He said Blade will not work it will just go round for half an hr and make a big hole in track, and he said way too many cheats here and Hans shouldnt of gone round doing a lap of honor.
Daniel being interviewed he has hurt his shoulder and thinks the track staff should listen to the riders cause there the ones riding the track.
Basically he's saying what everyone else is that the track shouldve been bladed before Heat 1 even started.
Hans and Adam being interviewed again, Adam said Hans going round by himself proved nothing lol, Hans just stood there looking dumb and thanks Adam for pointing out how rubbish he currently is in the GPs.
So theres needle between Shields and Andersen, Cook and Poole, and Richardson and everyone lol. What a night.
Ohh and apparantly racing will get underway again soon.
Nigel Pearson has just apologized for bringing us Gardeners World for the last hr lol.
Wow riders are back out. lets see what happens now.
Daniel wont be coming out Paul Fry will be replacing him.
Richardson being interviewed he said track is still useless and track needs to be graded alot, and he just said thats why the elite league in this country is such a mess.
Poole already lost Davidsson if Holder is out as well, this is gonna be a walkover for Lakeside.
Hope both guys will be ok
Middlo cant believe his luck, it looks like hes lost 2 riders tonight.
Rumours are Chris Holder may carry on riding.
No Chris has had enough tonight, he wont be going out again, he said he hasnt rebroken it, but thats enough for the night.
Screen said hes got a cold, and hes knackered for a fat lad.
Richardson said hes looking forward to the end of the meeting.
Charlie just asked Hans if theres more lines to this track then a GP one, and he blanked the question. hmm.
Screen has a painful shoulder, hes having an x-ray on it soon, hopefully it isnt nothing serious.
Wow a last heat decider.
Jon Cook not happy with his riders, and thinks if they get a point they will be lucky, and dont really deserve anything from the meeting. and he is very disappointed with them.
Cheers everyone for sticking through a very long night, and cheers for the fun, all have a very good evening, Good night
Poole get a point, Lakeside get 2. Hope Daniel and Chris are ok.
Last Note: Jon Cook is in the pits having a real go at his riders
