Heat Results
Match-Race 1: Ermolenko beats Pedersen 59.21
Line Up: Pedersen, Ermolenko
Comments: 3 races altogether. Dudley Council are here tonight. When announced there was some boo's starting but Porky butted in and said booing will get them nowhere at least they've got them here to see the massive crowd etc. Good move Porky.
Sam comfortable from the gate. Jan O riding perfectly comfortably and smooth though.
Heat 01: Richie, Roynon, Ritchings, Hazelden
Line Up: Roynon, Hazelden, Ritchings, Richie
Comments: Worrall from gate. Roynon chasing but a little tentative. Big mistake and nearly hit the fence bend 2 lap 4 but so far clear he recovered and still comfortable in 2nd. Ritchings passed Hazelden inside bend 2 lap 2 for 3rd.
Sponsored by www.enjaydesigns.co.uk
Heat 02: Re-run Hughes, Perry, Herne
Line Up: Hughes, Hargreaves, Herne, Perry
Comments: Stopped, Perry had rounded the field first bend and cleared off. Tight battle between Herne and Hargreaves for 2nd. Hargreaves sent one up the inside and cleaned Herne up. He is excluded from re-run. Herne is up and should be ready to take his place in a re-run in a few mins.
From Gate but a Reasonably close race.
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk [/b]
Heat 03: Allott, Bekker, Franklin, Steve
Line Up: Steve, Franklin, Allott, Bekker
Comments: Interesting lap 1 as Worrall goes from 1st to last and back into 3rd and Allott went from last to 1st while Franklin went from 2nd to last. Franklin then got inside Worrall bend 4 lap 3.
Sponsored by: www.speedway-games.co.uk [/b]
Heat 04: Kurtz, Armstrong, Morris, Johnson
Line Up: Armstrong, Johnson, Morris, Kurtz
Comments: Just looked as though. Armo and Morris were about to level out at the front when Kurtz came from another post code to pass everyone inside of the 1st turn and won by a mile. Morris nearly fell middle of bottom turn 1st time round but uneventful after that.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Roynon, Hughes, Kurtz, Allott
Line Up: Kurtz, Roynon, Hughes, Allott
Comments: From Gate but of note Roynon attacking it this time and looking like his old self. For those that dont know he uses the new silencer in the NL. So hes giving away 2 seconds before he starts and even a busted leg hasnt slowed him down much. Biased? Texter? Yes! lol
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Re-run Steve, Hazelden, Johnson, Herne
Line Up: Johnson, Steve, Hazelden, Herne
Comments: Stopped, Hazelden and Herne down. Both okay for an all 4 re-run
From Gate but good race for 2nd as Johnson crawled all over Hazelden for 4 laps.
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Armstrong, Franklin, Ritchings, Hargreaves
Line Up: Franklin, Armstrong, Hargreaves, Ritchings
Comments: What a gate from Armo. Basicly he was going whether tapes rose or not. Won by a mile. Ritchings was nowhere early on but was winding it on with cutbacks and on lap 4 switched to a big blast in the dirt Coming off 4 Hargreaves was pushing him wider and wider but the young Heathen just kept coming. Brilliant ride.

Heat 08: Perry, Richie, Bekker, Morris
Line Up: Richie, Perry, Bekker, Morris
Comments: Richie left a gap back straight lap 1 so 'Fred' said tank you very much and took off for the win. Morris possibly with bike problem as he seemed to lose power first bend but got going though way behind
Sponsored by
Kyle Newman is there disappointed not to be riding.
Match-Race 2: Ermolenko beats Pedersen 58.47
Line Up: Pedersen, Ermolenko
Comments: Sam has just cruised to another win over Jan O in fastest time since heat 4! One of Leon Madsen's dodgy bikes for Sam texter assumes while Jan O is stuck with one of Nicki Pedersens Old bikes.
Heat 09: Herne, Roynon, Morris, Franklin
Line Up: Herne, Morris, Roynon, Franklin
Comments: One of the races of the season. Roynon has the 'fear' gene firmly in the off position! First battling on the outside of Morris through a rapidly closing gap and then chasing Hernes back wheel. Almost got him and lost 2nd again, Straight back around Morris and chasing down Herne he passed Herne lap 3. Herne back through then Royno again before Herne again passes to win by a wheel on line.

Heat 10: Hughes, Armstrong, Bekker, Hazelden
Line Up: Bekker, Hughes, Armstrong, Hazelden
Comments: Armo outside pass on Bekker lap 2 bend 2, Chased after Kyle hard but not close enough to make an attempt at a pass.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Re-run Allott, Johnson, Perry, Ritchings
Line Up: Perry, Allott, Ritchings, Johnson
Comments: Johnson got roller all4back.
Slightly Scary race lol. Perry way out wide where the dogs run. Johnson placing his back wheel in the right place to block Perry but almost put him in the fence lap 2. Perry sticking with it though as Ritchings was diving up the inside of him so the cut back wasnt an option. Very tight all 3, Good defensive ride by Johnson
Sponsored by
Heat 12: Richie, Kurtz, Steve, Hargreaves
Line Up: Kurtz, Richie, Steve, Hargreaves
Comments: Someone Call Mrs Worrall - Your boys are nutters ;D What a race. Kurtz leading. Steve charging hard inside him, Richie in 3rd winding it on in the dirt and got around his brother. Steve was almost passing Kurtz at the time and as Kurtz looked inside to cover Steve, Richie kept it screwed on and squeezed through a rather tight gap outside Kurtz just for good measure. Very brave and stunning move. Kurtz having none of it and dived back inside Richie. Richie still storming around in the dirt just missing Kurtz backwheel last turn and again squeezed through a gap barely big enough to steal it on the line by a few inches. Cracking racing. Hargreaves possibly at the back thinking these kids are crazy! lol

Something different. A marriage proposal on the dog track during the interval. Slightly disappointing she didnt say no just for giggles lol. Congratulations on the off chance anyone knows the happy couple.
Hargreaves withdrawn with bike Problems
Heat 13: Re-runx2 Johnson, Portwood
Line Up: Portwood, Bekker, Johnson, Roynon
Comments: Stopped, Bekker fell on his own and is excluded. Portwood laid it down and thankfully just bumped him. Both fine. Texter would say Bekker owes Portwood a pint but maybe a juice would be more appropriate until Young Adam comes of age.
Stopped Again. Roynon loses it in exactly the same place No Jokes this time. No Idea how Johnson laid it down to miss him. Hats off to Brendan for lightening reactions/instincts. Perhaps over-watered patch?
Nothing to report except every lap is useful for Adam.

Heat 14: Kurtz, Hazelden, Perry, Franklin
Line Up: Hazelden, Kurtz, Perry, Franklin
Comments: Kurtz by a mile, Great scrap behind him. Perry gave them half an hour head start then set off in pursuit. Unfortunatly he found Hazelden and Franklin team riding him out. He was totally boxed in at the back. When Hazelden cleared Franklin it gave Perry another run to steal 3rd off the last turn.
Sponsored by Splod [/b]
Heat 15: Morris, Hughes, Steve, Ritchings fell
Line-up: Morris, Ritchings, Steve, Hughes
Comments: More Sensational racing. Hughes all over Morris like a set of cheap Kevs for 4 laps around the outside. Switched inside off the last turn and won it by and inch in texters view. He even wrote it down but the ref gave it to the Heathen though/
Sponsored by www.unofficialscorpion.co.uk - The History of Scunthorpe Speedway [/b]
Heat 16: Allott, Herne, Armstrong, Richie Fell
Line-up: Allott, Herne, Richie, Armstrong
Comments: Stopped and awarded. Richie was flying round n the dirt again and had got himself into 2nd passed Herne and was chasing Allott. Inexplicably he loses it at the end of the straight going into turn 2 lap 3. High speedway but hes up quickly and walks away.
Sponsored by [/b]
Match-Race 3: Ermolenko beats Pedersen
Line Up: Pedersen, Ermolenko
Comments: Jan O closer this time until his first error on turn 2 lap 4. Sam was comfortable winner though.
Porky now having some laps on Jan O's bike. Think hes cracked the frame lol.
Some Words from Jan O saying how emotional it is to be back for his first laps at Monmore in 19 years.
Sam saying Jan O asked him to go and not just cruise for a fake 1-1 because he wanted to know the pace he needs to get with more practice
Jan O wants a re-match next year when hes up to speed
Sam Asked why hes not racing still. He says he doesnt want the left left to look as bad as the right.
Roynon withdrawn. Hopefully as a precaution as it was a heavy landing but didnt look worse than that.
Heat 17: Perry, Steve, Armstrong, Hoskins
Line-up: Hoskins, Perry, Armstrong, Steve
Comments: All sorted early on as Perry then Worrall find theory way to the front.
Sponsored by [/b]
Heat 18: Re-run Allott, Morris, Portwood
Line-up: Allott, Hazelden, Portwood, Morris
Comments: Stopped, Going into turn 2 lap 2 Hazelden down and excluded. A little unlucky as texter thinks Morris had give him the slightest nudge at the end of the straight. Perhaps unsettled him a touch but it would have been exceptionally harsh to give Morris the elbow so fair decision.
Good race as Morris put pressure on Allott by going in high and coming out on the curb. Its slickened off and dusty now though so not quite enough drive to pass.
Sponsored by [/b]
Heat 19: Kurtz, Ritchings, Herne, Bekker
Line-up: Ritchings, Bekker, Kurtz, Herne
Comments: Great race again. Ritchings led lap 1 before Kurtz up on his outside. Not much to choose until Kurtz edged clear last lap but Ritchings never let him rest. At the back Herne was working ovetime to get up on Bekker for the odd point by half a bike length on the line.
Sponsored by [/b]
Heat 20: Hughes, Worrall, Johnson, Franklin
Line-up: Hughes, Johnson, Franklin, Richie
Comments: Hughes takes the title from gate. Congrats to him. Worrall made a shocking gate but steamed inside the home heroes going into the bottom turn for 1st time. Very tight between Worrall and Johnson but clean pass. He then went in to turn over every piece of shale chasing after Hughes to No avail

Line-up to be confirmed.
Hour to go and the queue is almost British final length!
Texter is in and in the words of the woman behind him 'quicker than the queue in Primak' lol
Speedway fans are a weird breed. The Texter has just seen one woman have cheesy chips with gravy and another has salt on her tea/coffee. He does accept the latter could have been a mistake though lol.
For Once at an Individual event they've printed a programme that fits in a standard programme board wooo. Of course they've printed the score card on silk paper so you cant write on it..
Absolutely rammed tonight. The Texter hopes they all remember how to boo Sam lol.
Jan O said another 3 months practice before a competitive race would have been good but the first race back had to be in front of the Heathens. Sam says he remembers racing against the Danes when Jan O rode and they got beaten so tonights its war. Not so scary coming from a couple of old blokes but bring it on.
