Heat Results
Heat 01: Compton, Dugard, Clifton. Bowen (FX). 1-5, awarded
Line Up: Bowen, Clifton, Compton, Dugard
Comments: PA system isn't working today so no heat times.
A great race. Warriors gate, but Bowen went round Dugard turn 3. Then a great set of 2 races in one situation with Clifton all over Dugard and Bowen all over Compton. Bowen then hit Compton turn 3 lap 3 and came down. Bowen excluded and race awarded.

Heat 02: Re-Run: Verge, Thomas, Govier. Saul (FX). 5-1, 6-6 61.9
Line Up: Verge, Thomas, Saul, Govier
Comments: Kings gate on a 5-1 but Saul takes Thomas wide on turn 2 and Govier gets past up the inside. Saul then buries himself in turn 3 airfence and is excluded from rerun.
Re-Run: Govier takes Thomas down bend 1. All 3 back.
Re-Run x2: Govier gated but he ran wide on turn 2 and the Kings disappeared. Teaboy says Govier looks much improved this season though.

Heat 03: Ayres, Smart, Mason, Baseby. 4-2, 10-8, 60.1
Line Up: Ayres, Mason, Smart, Baseby
Comments: Smart and Ayres gated level but the inside line meant Smart was ahead by turn 3. Ayres got under Smart backstraight lap 2 and took him wide on turn 3 almost allowing Mason through. Smart did well to hold Mason off for the rest of the race.

Heat 04: Re-Run: Cockle, Thomas, Govier (fell, remounted). Shanes (FX). 2-4, 12-12, 62.6
Line Up: Shanes, Thomas, Cockle, Govier
Comments: Cockle just beat Shanes in the first 2 turns by running him wide. Shanes tried winding it on round the outside but got all out of shape turn 2 lap 3 and took a horrific fall. Red lights came on straight away but Shanes actually bounced up and tried to clear the track. Shanes excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Govier was clamped hard by Thomas turn 1 and came down, but he remounted to finish.
Tractor racing now.

Heat 05: Ayres, Dugard, Mason. Compton (fell). 4-2, 16-14, 61.3
Line Up: Ayres, Mason, Compton, Dugard
Comments: Compton slid off on turn 4 from second place. He did extremely well to clear the track.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Re-Run: Clifton, Bowen, Saul. Cockle (ret). 5-1, 21-15, 61.5
Line Up: Bowen, Clifton, Cockle, Saul
Comments: Unsatisfactory start. All 4 back. Bowen warned.
Re-Run: Cockle failed to leave the tapes. Clifton gated to win!
Sponsored by
Heat 07: Baseby, Shanes, Verge, Smart. 3-3, 24-18, 61.6
Line Up: Shanes, Verge, Smart, Baseby
Comments: Warriors gate on a 5-1. Verge hugged the kurb which made Smart ride tighter and tighter, allowing Shanes space on the outside. Turn 1 lap 4 Verge got through on the inside of Smart whilst Shanes went round the outside. A mental double pass which Teaboy thinks is probably the best single move in 4 years of racing at Central Park.
Grey clouds are moving in and Teaboy is unsure why there is currently a delay.

Sponsored by Speedway Fiction www.speedwayfiction.co.uk
Heat 14: Verge, Baseby, Mason. Govier (fell). 4-2, 52-32, 62.6
Line Up: Mason, Verge, Baseby, Govier
Comments: Mason and Govier swapped places on lap 1. Govier then fell at the back turn 3 lap 2. Verge, who was up Baseby's exhaust pipe all race, squeezed past as Baseby appeared to have a mechanical issue on the run to the line. Teaboy says that Verge has been awesome today!
