The NL is a development league (Believe it or not) it has produced some good prospects this year and I see no reason why it should not continue.

I would put Somerset in league 1 and Leicester in league 2 that's about the only change .

Sorry but my first thought was where on earth are you going to find 14 No. 1s for League 1?

NL should be left as it is, other clubs can (& do) have a '2nd' team to bring on young riders

Have a North South divide, 14 teams in each = 13 home meetings.
Top 7 from each League merge, Bottom 7 from each league merge = another 13 home meetings
Then 2 seperate mini leagues from the top 4 of each merged league to decide league 1 and league 2 winners = 3 home meetings
Throw in the regional 4 team tournament = 1 home meeting
30 home meetings without the need for the meaningless cup matches.

Deffo keep the NL it brings on talented riders and allows clubs to stay alive due to reduced overheads who would otherwise be lost to the sport. Pemier leave it alone. I think their could be a couple who may have go go NL to survive elite is the league that's really in trouble I think the costs v supporters through the gates is a killer for a few of them so what to do ? If elite can't hack it let premier absorb it not the other way round or same problem occurs again in a couple of years . Good meeting don't need the top two riders in them to be good

Try the leagues as they have been the last few years, but change to race nights wednesday and thursday only , also 3 brits in teams and 2 t/subs a match.

I feel that the divisional consist given as an example by the author is flawed, as certain teams in both might well be out of their depth, considering the strength of most of their proposed opponents.
My comments on the North / South divide apply equally here, I believe.

Keep the NL. Try to find a way of combining EL & PL into a two league system with promotion and relegation. Not sure I'd go for a North/South split, unless that was for the first season only and then take the top 6/7 from each league into a new Div 1 and Div 2 for the second season. The problem with many of these questions though is that they are interlinked e.g. an expanded 'Elite' league of 14 teams still only results in 13 home matches, which is one less that we had this year, but if you then ride each team twice home and away, fitting in 26 home meetings could be a stretch, especially if you also go for a 'one race night' approach, because you would then have a home meeting one week, away the next, and wouldn't fit 26 meetings in. It's complicated isn't it!

NL must stay. EL and PL could merge but I will expand on that in the next poll.

NL is fine and actually growing, PL seems to be doing ok so cant see either of those wanting to change and any PL team must be crazy to consider moving up or merging in any way at the moment.
