Depends on how many teams in each league, could get awfully boring watching the same teams three or four times a season...

Defo a no to a north south divide π Us premier supporters love the variety of teams a n/s divide would just leave us seeing the same teams to often . As to scrapping elite and premier leagues again it's a no no from me . Their is a chance that season 2018 could see the elite down to 6-7 teams so in my mind the idea sounds like a plan to save the elite not benefit speedway

ONE big league, everybody rides at home every week, with rules as below...... try it just for 1 year as a trial,i think it will bring fans back to the sport. I have mentioned before,if matches are postponed and are not run later on that the teams should be awarded 1 point each, like they do in other sports, there would not be an instance like peterboro not being able to ride their last match before the cut off date.

Better to revive the "British League" by combining the EL and PL. Division 1 to comprise the current EL clubs and the top four or five from the PL; then Division 2 would consist of the remaining PL clubs - plus; some of the strongest of the stand-alone NL clubs (Birmingham, Cradley, Eastbourne, Kent, maybe IOW, or even Mildenhall) might also be convinced enough to consider entering the lower division, given the right circumstances, rules and regulations-wise.
A (possibly) smaller NL made up mainly of clubs operating a second team (Belle Vue, Coventry, King's Lynn, maybe Wolves, Swindon? etc.) could operate as a truly "development" League, one level above such as the MDL.

As I mentioned on a previous answer, I'm not a fan of the N/S divide. I can see how it might make travel to away matches easier for some, but equally it could make it worse for some. I don't think one combined league would work, but may be worth a try? The availability of a sufficient riders to go around might also be a problem; could we go back to the old system of the 'Committee' assigning riders to clubs? I'd like to see more teams come to the Abbey, but the prospect of not seeing the likes of Belle Vue and other northern clubs etc. other than maybe if a play-off system still existed, doesn't appeal to me.

I agree no divide, but ONE League and I did suggest that the top 4 clubs from the North and the South race off in two groups to bring us to a 2 legged Final to decide the best in Britain.

One big league , been there before more than once the thinking behind might be ment well but that hard core of elite promotors always start the same old control tactics and the second tier clubs that joined start closing down and in ten years or so we will be back here again. The top tier will been down to 8 or 9 teams and the NL will be booming and the riders doubling up. Very few if any PL clubs can sustain EL costs and I don't see the EL cutting back costs when they are talking about encouraging more top riders to British racing

Have none of you saying "No" never watched NFL?
A North-South divide can work. In NFL parlance they would be the North Conference and the South Conference.
Each team in each conference would race each other team in the same conference once at home and once away.
Additionally each team in each conference would race each team in the opposing conference ONCE, either home OR away, with an even number of each.
Playoffs would see the top two in each conference race for the conference title.
The Speedway "Superbowl" would then pit the conference title winners against each other.
It could work, but I doubt a lot of teams would go for it.
