Weather: Good weather - few clouds about but Sunny, was some rain earlier in the day no more since Midday.
SCB Referee: Peter Clarke
Gates: Kings Lynn take gates 1+3 in Heat 1.
Heat Results
Heat 01: Re-Run: Lindgren, Holder, Howarth - Fell / Excluded 3-3 54.06 (Rose - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Lindgren, Howarth, Holder, Rose
Comments: Race Stopped. Ok, coming out of bend 1 with Freddie at the front but in behind, Rose loses control just behind Howarth and goes down taking Howarth with him. Holder at the back manages to put the bike down in time to avoid a collision. All riders back up on their feet and ok. Rose excluded from the re-run.
Re-Run: Lindgren from the gate and Holder overtakes Howarth coming out of bend 1 as Howarth gets slightly out of shape. Quite unbelievably, Howarth fails to finish after getting to the last bend on the last lap and falling off his bike with nobody near him. The bike entered the centre green so he was rightly excluded.

Heat 02: Re-Run: Awarded: M.Riss, Greaves, Bailey, Halsey - Fell / Excluded 5-1 (8-3)
Line Up: M.Riss, Greaves, Halsey, Bailey
Comments: Race Stopped. Greaves makes the gate but Halsey loses his grip on bend 1 and falls, taking his reserve partner with him, also made M.Riss put his bike down too. Everybody fine through and all 4 back for the re-run after some first bend bunching.
Re-Run: Awarded. M.Riss makes the gate and Greaves follows. Greaves increases his lead over Halsey as the race goes on. On bend 2 on the penultimate lap, Halsey loses his grip and puts the bike down, forcing Bailey just behind him to do the same. Bailey able to get back up and cross the finishing line for 3rd place through. Halsey excluded.

Heat 03: Awarded: Schlein, Thorssell, Batchelor, Porsing - Fell / Excluded 5-1 (13-4)
Line Up: Schlein, Thorssell, Porsing, Batchelor
Comments: King's Lynn really not dealing well with the conditions so far. Schlein storms out of gate 4 and Thorssell follows although Porsing was close behind coming out of bend 1. Heat awarded through as Porsing falls further behind in 3rd and goes down on bend 1 of the penultimate lap and stays down. He's ok, just not sure he was too interested in getting back up.

Heat 04: Masters, Lambert, Greaves, Bailey 4-2 (17-6) 55.86
Line Up: Masters, Greaves, Lambert, Bailey
Comments: Masters storms out of Gate 4 like Schlein did in the race before. Greaves shows some good speed coming out of bend 1 and gets ahead of Lambert but approaches bend 2 with too much speed and loses his shape momentarily, allowing Lambert up in the inside who was fortunate not to crash into the back of Greaves. Race was pretty much decided from there as there was no catching Masters. Bailey at the back by some distance.

Heat 05: Schlein, Thorssell, Holder - Tactical Ride, Rose 5-1 (22-7) 55.50
Line Up: Schlein, Thorssell, Holder - Tactical Ride, Rose
Comments: Schlein out the gate again and gone. Thorssell and Holder in a good battle coming out of lap 1 but Thorssell gets the edge and pulls away a bit. Holder still in with a chance but completely loses shape on bend 2 and is relegated at the back. Rose lets him come through into 3rd on the penultimate lap but to no avail as Wolves secure another 5-1.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 06: Lindgren, Lambert, Howarth, Halsey 4-2 (26-9) 55.62
Line Up: Lindgren, Howarth, Lambert, Halsey
Comments: Lindgren and Lambert in a great battle up front. Lindgren makes the gate and is just in front as they approach lap 2 as Lambert's speed takes him past Howarth. However, Freddie Lindgren knows the lines round Monmore through and is able to keep Lambert at bay (despite looking very quick) throughout to win the race. Howarth some way off Lambert but comfortably in 3rd as Halsey was some way at the back.

Heat 07: Re-Run: Masters, Porsing, Batchelor 3-3 (29-12) 56.34 (M.Riss - Fell / Excluded)
Line Up: Masters, M.Riss, Porsing, Batchelor
Comments: Race Stopped. Masters clear out in front. Batchelor makes a strong gate from 4 and him and Porsing get into 2nd and 3rd. Batchelor loses his shape on the backstraight for a moment allowing M.Riss through who then goes really wide (close to the fence) on bend 2 in an exciting move to pass Porsing which just allows him to nudge ahead. As a result through, M.Riss approached bend 1 in lap 2 with too much speed and ended up having to put the bike down after trying desperately to stop on. Great effort but excluded with the race to be re-run.
Re-Run: Masters makes the gate again, and despite another good gate from Batchelor on gate 4, loses his shape again coming out of bend 1 and ends up limping over the finish line before Porsing in 3rd.

Very good crowd as you would except with the Cradley meeting straight after too. Best crowd this season for sure after it was a bit light against Rye House last week.
Heat 08: Howarth, Rose, Greaves, Bailey 4-2 (33-14) 57.07
Line Up: Howarth, Greaves, Rose, Bailey
Comments: Howarth makes the gate. Greaves in 2nd coming out of bend 1 but gets a bit out of shape on bend 2 allowing Rose to pass. Greaves has some good speed but seems to be struggling to stay in shape on the bends at times. Bailey at the back and not troubling Greaves.

Heat 09: Lambert, Thorssell, Schlein, Halsey 3-3 (36-17) 55.63
Line Up: Schlein, Thorssell, Lambert, Halsey
Comments: Lambert makes the gate but Schlein just lacked the speed to pass him on the straight coming out of bend 1 as Lambert went a bit wide and opened the door. From that point, Lambert was well gone and ended up with a handsome win. Thorssell and Schlein traded positions on lap 2 but never got close to Lambert after lap 1. Halsey well at the back.
Sponsored by
Heat 10: Lindgren, Howarth, Batchelor, Porsing 5-1 (41-18) 55.82
Line Up: Lindgren, Howarth, Porsing, Batchelor
Comments: Howarth makes the gate, Batchelor in 2nd coming out as he has generally gated well this evening but Lindgren turns the jets on, passes him and then Howarth on the outside coming out of bend 1. Batchelor falls to trouble Howarth for the rest of the race.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Masters, Rose, Holder, M.Riss - Fell/ Remounted 3-3 (44-21) 56.47
Line Up: Masters, M.Riss, Holder, Rose
Comments: Masters makes the gate (again) and is untroubled from that point. M.Riss is forced wide coming out of the gate and does well to stay on the bike. Ends up falling off on bend 2 anyway but gets back up and carries on well at the back as he completes the race. Rose and Holder swapped positions on lap 3.

Track Grading. Just to mention, the track isn't dangerous although reading the updates you might think it is! Just a fair bit of shale on the track which is making it tricky on the bends, particularly bend 1. Most King's Lynn riders just haven't dealt with the conditions well so far, only M.Riss has struggled with them for Wolves.
Heat 12: Schlein, Porsing, Greaves, Bailey 4-2 (48-23) 56.68
Line Up: Schlein, Greaves, Porsing,Halsey Bailey
Comments: Race Stopped. Tapes broken at the start although I'm not sure how, bit of a freak accident. Tapes seemed to get stuck on the cone that they use to separate gate 2 and 3 meaning they didn't go fully up at the start and the riders just went through them. Nobody jumped the start and all 4 back for the re-run.
Re-Run: Schlein makes the gate but Porsing is level with him coming out of bend 1. Schlein just about has enough speed on the backstraight to get clear and files away from that point. Greaves almost let Bailey in bend 3 lap 2 as he gets slightly out of shape but manages to keep in 3rd.
Sponsored by
Heat 13: Lindgren, Lambert, Holder, Masters 3-3 (51-26) 56.07
Line Up: Lindgren, Masters, Holder, Lambert
Comments: Wolves boys make the gate but Lambert and Holder have enough speed to go past either side of Masters coming out of bend 1 as they straighten up. Lambert looks like he's going to go past Lindgren as they go into lap 2 but Lindgren shuts the door and seems to block every opportunity Lambert takes to move that point who tries everything to go past him. Another great battle between the pair, Lambert has a lot of speed tonight.

Heat 14: Thorssell, Batchelor, Riss, Bailey - Fell, Retired 4-2 (55-28) 56.56
Line Up: Thorssell, M.Riss, Batchelor, Bailey
Comments: Batchelor is quick out of the gate and gets in front. Thorssell close in pursuit and manages to pass him going into lap 3 as Batchelor goes wide coming out of bend 2 and leaves too much room up on the inside. Thorssell wins fairly comfortably from that point. Bailey fell off on bend 1 lap 2 but managed to get himself of the track so the race continued.
Sponsored by Splod
Heat 15: Thorssell, Lambert, Schlein, Holder 4-2 (59-30) 56.69
Line-up: Schlein, Thorssell, Holder, Lambert
Comments: Wolves take 1+3 and King's Lynn on 2+4.
Thorssell quick from the gate and Lambert /Holder seem to be team riding for 2nd and 3rd come lap 2 but Schlein has other ideas. Manages to pass Holder on the stretch coming out of bend 1 and the final lap, Holder attempts to go wide going to the finish line as Schlein holds the inside line but it isn't enough to pass him. Caps off an emphatic win for Wolves.
