Comments:
Teams confirmed.
Heat 1: R/R Tobi Kroner
Race stopped Bridger fell and Jansson had to put bike down. Bridger excluded.
From gate.
Heat 2: From the gate again.
Heat 3: Kroner passed Louis last lap, back straight. Louis looked to be struggling a bit... Bike problems?
Heat 4: Tacey passed by the Eastbourne pair on back straight 1st lap. Miskowiak won by a huge distance but all well strung out behind him.
Heat 5: Sue says Stead looks good, can we have him next year please?
Heat 6: R/R Robert Miskowiak
Ippo on a 4-2 when Jansson fell while challenging Risager for second.
Heat 8: Bridger exc 2 mins, off 15 metres.
Tacey gated!! Jansson passed him on back straight 1st lap. Gustafsson bike failed just before the finish line allowing Bridger to take 3rd
Heat 10: R/R Chris Louis
Race stopped, unsatisfactory start. All 4 back.
Sue wants Davey Watt at ippo next year too.
Heat 11: Sue now says if we can have this Bobby every week, she'll have him next year too.
Not the most exciting meeting. Too much from the gate or over by the back straight.
Heat 12: Louis messed up the start and then messed up Tacey on 1st bend.
Heat 13: R/R Kim Jansson
Message for Cov fans: Risager still wiggles when he comes out on track!
Excellent heat. Good battle between Stead and Miskowiak for 1st with Misko getting it at the end of lap 1.
Heat 14: Woodward in for Kerr
Kroner by some distance. Rempala very close but Eastbourne team riding.
Heat 15 line up: Miskowiak, Kroner, Stead, Watt.
Eastie win toss and take 1&3.
Sue and I are both feeling very pessimistic about this!
Wow! (Not Sues actual words!) Miskowiak gated a blinder. Kroner battled through to 3rd then Stead passed him, then Kroner got thru again. Bloody excellent.
Ref has thanked riders and officials for a cracking meeting.
Many thanks to Sue for the texts and to everyone for looking in. Goodnight all.
