Comments:
Heat1: From the gate.
Heat2: Hedley goes from 15 metres back for touching the tapes. Sue reckons they had been held for a while tho.
Hedley fell on 2nd lap on 1st bend but was a star and remounted so race could continue.
Heat3: Brilliant heat. Watt gated to the lead and battle commenced between him and Louis, with Chris finally passing Watt on the 3rd lap, 4th bend. Excellent stuff.
Heat4: R/R. Lewis Bridger.
Misko passed Bridger 2nd bend, 1st lap. Bridger looking very fast and smooth so far.
Heat5: I think from Sues comments that Louis was originally announced as 2nd place and Zibi 3rd which Sue disagreed with. Result now amended with Zibi 2nd, Louis 3rd.
Heat6: R/R Leigh Lanham.
Kim way out front but Shields had to stalk and pass Lanham which he did on the back straight last lap in style.
Heat 7: T/R Davey Watt.
Rempala gated last but did an amazing 2nd bend 1st lap and went into 2nd.
Heat8: Andersson replaces Hedley.
Race stopped Andersson fell 2nd bend, Exc from re-run. He is up but limping a fair bit.
Bridger threatened for the first couple of laps. Schramm well tailed off at the back.
Mark Loram in attendance tonight, he's just being interviewed. Says he has more movement back in his knee.
Heat9: R/R Davey Watt.
Ippo were on a 5-1 but Zibi seemed to be spooked by Watt being behind him and kept looking back. On the 3rd lap he messed up and Watt passed to take 2nd. Andersson retired 2nd or 3rd lap.
Heat 10: Watt got past Kim on back straight first lap to take the lead. Shields then passed Kim and tried everything to get past Watt but couldn't.
Heat 11: From the gate.
Heat 12: Andersson retired lap 2.
Heat13: R/R Tom Hedley
From the gate. Kylmakorpi struggled to get past Hedley! He only managed it on the line.
Heat 14: T/S Lewis Bridger... replacing Tom Hedley.
From the gate. Bridger had caught Zibi by the 2nd bend but could not get past.
Heat 15:Line up: Shields, Miskowiak, Watt, Bridger.
Eastbourne take 1&3.
Bridger did a graceful spin on the 4th bend, 2nd lap but stayed on.
Thanks to Sue for the great texts and to everyone for joining me. Good night.
