A few patches of blue sky up there, but rain threatening according to Brummie boy. I won't bore you with the relative humidity, pressure or temperature.
Brummies win the toss, taking gates 1 & 3
Heat 01: Holder fast and comfortable out in front.
Heat 02: Martin had an ef on lap two while in second place.
Heat 03: From the gate.
Heat 04: Phillips close to going inside Powell on last lap, second bend as Powell drifted wide.
Heat 05: Lyons fell on the first bend. All4back in the re run.
Heat 05: Islanders were on a 5-1 until Lyons passed outside Gathercole on the fourth bend.
Heat 06: Ostergaard outside Phillips first lap, fourth bend.
Heat 07: Stojanowski took down Smart on the first bend. Stojanowski excluded from the re run.
Heat 07: Close between Sanchez and Bunyan.
Heat 08: Powell off 15m in the re run. Texter doesn't say why, but take a wild guess!!
Heat 08: Collins dropped a chain on the first bend, spun and was lucky to miss the other three riders.
Heat 10: Ostergaard pushed wide by Bunyan on the second bend.
Heat 13: From the gate.
Heat 14: Powell replaces Armstrong.
