Comments: Leek fell on the first lap, he got off the track before the riders got to him, then Kelly fell on the second lap, but because he still had his steel shoe on the track as the Thompson twins got close to him, the ref called a stop to the heat in the interest of safety.

Comments: Stopped due to an accident between Wallinger and Halder. Wallinger locked his bike on the first turn on the first lap and Halder tried to avoid him but failed. Both rider having medical treatment, Wallinger up and walking slowly back to the pits.  
A very wobbly Halder is up and slowly making his way back to the pits.
Re-Run: Joe Thompson replaces Halder and Kelly replaces Wallinger
