7. Cordell Rogerson 1, 1, 0, 2, 2 = 6
8. Oliver Hamilton 2, 0, 2, 3, 1 = 8 + 1 = 6th
9. James Crundwell Fx, Ex, Ret, Ns, Ns = 0
10. Jacob Hook 2, 3, 3, 2, 2 = 12 + 3 = 1st
11. Bailey Viner 1, 0, 0, 1, 3 = 5
12. Liam May 3, 3, 2, 1, 2 = 11 + Fx = 7th
13. Patrick Hamilton 1, 2, 1, 2, 1 = 7
14. Isiah Hartley 0, 1, Ret, Ns, Ns, = 1
15. Zach Cook 3, 2, 3, 3, 3 = 14 + 1 = 3rd
16 Declan Knowles 2, 1, 1, 1, 3 = 8
Heat 1 : List, Morrison, Hawes, Gilmore No
Morrison very close to List and kept him honest all race but List didn’t seem all that bothered
Heat 2 : Cluff, O Hamilton, Rogerson, Clare
Rogerson gated to lead early but Cluff then Hamliton both passed Rogerson
Heat 3 : May, Hook, Viner, Crundwell Fx
Rerun. Crundwell fell, May round the outside of Hook from the gate to ride away and win
Heat 4 : Cook, Knowles, P Hamilton, Hartley.
Easy for Cook. Processional
Heat 5: Hawes, P Hamilton, Clare, Crundwell
See heat 4, carbon copy
Heat 6 : Hook, Cluff, Hartley, Gilmore Ns
Cluff annoyed Hook all race without ever looking like getting by
Heat 7 : List, Cook, Rogerson, Viner
Wheel to wheel take no prisoners stuff from the top two but perfectly legit. Top race despite no passes
Heat 8 : May, Morrison, Knowles, O Hamilton.
Things hotting up now. Morrison gated, May flying round the outside to take the lead, Morrison kept poking his nose up the inside and drawing level a few times but no joy. Belter
Heat 9 : Cluff, Hawes, Knowles, Viner
A chance for pulse rates to return to normal. Uneventful
Heat 10 : Cook, May, Clare, Gilmore Ns
Cook too consistent and classy for May
Heat 11 : List, O Hamilton, Crundwell ret, Hartley ret
Rerun. Hartley’s chain went and destroyed everything in its path. Crundwell went infield avoiding Hartley and sat out the rerun still feeling the effects of his earlier fall. Hamilton great nuisance value but List always in control.
Heat 12 : Hook, Morrison, P Hamilton, Rogerson
More disappointment for Morrison with this time Hook going round him to steal the lead
Heat 13 : Hawes, Rogerson, May, Hartley Ns
No heroics for May this time as he first had a mini whoopsie and then droppped back and kept looking down at his bike as if he had a problem.
Heat 14 : O Hamilton, P Hamilton, Viner, Gilmore Ns
Bragging rights for Oliver Hamilton with the battle of the Mildura boys.
Oliver went from1st to 2nd to 1st with Patrick going the other way. Just brothers being brothers.
Heat 15 : List, Hook, Knowles, Clare
List from inside Hook the best away and that’s how they stayed
Heat 16 : Cook, Morrison, Cluff, Crundwell Ns
Another epic involving Morrison scrapping for the lead and again he failed by the narrowest of margins. Cook is useful though.
Heat 17 : Cook, Hook, O Hamilton, Hawes ret
Hawes up to second early but looked like a mechanical problem for him mid race. Cook got the drop on Hook from the gate and that was effectively race over
Heat 18 : Knowles, Rogerson, Crundwell Ns, Gilmore Ns
Some two man races can be fantastic. This wasn’t one of them
Heat 19 : List, May, P Hamilton, Cluff
List completed his full house very impressively
Heat 20 : Viner, Clare, Morrison ret, Hartley Ns
Tragedy for Morrison. Only needed a point to qualify for the semi but from yellow / gate 4 found himself pushed wide and ran out of room. Remounted but unable to finish 4 laps
Semi Final (Rerun) Cluff, Hawes, Hamilton, May Fox
Poor start by May and he fell trying to go round the outside. Hawes had been in the lead. In the rerun Cluff got the better of Hawes from the gate and nothing Hawes could do about it
Final Hook, List, Cook, Cluff
List chose blue gate 2, then Cook chose the gate outside List to start in white. Hook couldn’t believe his luck and said “thank you” as he gleefully accepted an early Christmas present and took gate 1. Hook made gate 1 work then took up residence on the fastest line out wide and nothing List could do about it even though he was within touching distance for much of the race. Great attacking ride at first and defensive ride later by Hook.
