Comments: Dudek and Pedersen get tangled up out of the start heading into the first bend, both run wide and this leaves a huge gap for Madsen to exploit, which he duly does. Dudek gets his wheels in line and flies under Madsen heading into Bend 3 Lap 1 to hit the front and clear off. Madsen makes a mistake mid bend and Pedersen is into second. Madsen never gives up and chases after Pedersen, getting round him off Bend 2 Lap 4. Holta never managed a lap before packing up.

Re-Run: Hansen gates and squeezes Bellego up against the fence on the backstraight of the opening lap. Logachev is briefly into second but Bellego quickly repasses him. Bellego chases hard after Hansen who appears to have eyes in the back of his head and blocks every attempt to pass him. Bellego goes wide on the final bends and gets round Hansen.
