Comments: Worrall had a fuel leak on the way to the tapes - pouring over his engine! Fuel pipe fixed and he made it to the start. Good start by Worrall, keeping Lawson at bay. Wright cut back off bend 2 into second, and Lawson then came hard under Wright on bend 4.
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Track grading and adverts. Interview with Steve Worrall - he says the track is very grippy on the inside line, and he's hoping the racing lines will develop a bit more.

Line Up: Wright, Nicholls, Cook, Bewley
Comments: Wright muscled his way to the front, including a hard move on Bewley, who found himself at the back. Bewley came back between Nicholls and Cook off B2, L2, but Cook then went under him off B4. Bewley finally battled into third.

Comments: Starke away well, but Howarth did the same move as his first ride, and came hard under on bend 3. Starke forced wide and then retired on B2 L2. Rowe didn't look all that comfortable riding mid-track, and Schlein passed Rowe on the inside B1/2 L3.

Line Up: Kerr, SWorrall, King, Lambert
Comments: King looked as though he'd made a quick start, but was beaten round the first bend by Kerr. Worrall under King off B4, L1 , then King got past Worrall off B2 L2, but Worrall repaid the compliment around the inside of B3/4 L2.
Sponsored by
Heat 08: Ellis, Lawson, Harris, Barker
Line Up: Barker, Harris, Ellis, Lawson
Comments: Ellis held off Lawson on the first lap. Harris got under Barker end of lap 1, but Barker drove around the outside again. Even so, BArker's mid-track line didn't work, and Harris came back under him. Not sure that Lawson knew how close Harris was as he shut off at the chequered flag.

Track grading and adverts. Simon Stead saying nothing in particular. Steve Brandon asking good questions as usual - this time of Adam Ellis. Ellis says he's happy to have got gates 3 & 4 out of the way, and two G2 and a G1 to look forward to. Also, doubling-up is helping him with track time.
Heat 09: Howarth, Nicholls, Kerr, Lawson
Line Up: Howarth, Lawson, Nicholls, Kerr
Comments: Once again, outside gates looked quicker off the start, but it was Howarth who hit the first bend and dominated. Nicholls got his wheel in line off bend 2 into second place. Lawson in third completely missed the final bend, going wide - must have been a mechanical problem.
Sponsored by
Heat 10: Ellis, Cook, Worrall, Schlein
Line Up: Ellis, Cook, SWorrall, Schlein
Comments: Ellis quick away and untroubled. Cook, who has changed bikes, looked better. Schlein never moved off the white line, but couldn't challenge.
Sponsored by
Heat 11: Bewley, Harris, Lambert, Rowe
Line Up: Harris, Bewley, Lambert, Rowe
Comments: Wheel-to-wheel for the first two laps with Bewley outside Harris. As you would expect from Harris, he left enough racing room, and Bewley was able to pull away for the win.

Comments: Wright away quickly, with King stranded off four. Barker into first down back straight. Wright got the run off B4 L2 absolutely perfect, and Barker then made a complete hash of B1/2 L3 on the outside. Starke given a warning for moving at the start.

Still raining, although not heavily.
Heat 16: Bewley, Howarth, Worrall, Barker

Comments: Bewley clear from the start. Howarth chose the widest line and took a couple of laps to shake off the challenge from Worrall.
Track grading and adverts @ 21:08 (I'm watching on Eurosport online, so might be behind real time TV channel coverage).
Interview with Charles Wright - he's surprised that he's making the starts! Simon Stead asked about set up, and Wright says he's kept the same sprocket, but moved the wheel forward a bit? I haven't got the mechanical knowledge to understand that ...
Racing delayed because of rain ... the result could be decared ...
Interview with Dan Bewley. A couple of good races, once race where he made mistakes. Cool to race with Chris Harris, and he's always fair to race with. Don't feel under pressure, I like racing at Belle Vue. Big tracks in Poland - the main thing is the riders you're riding against, and it's always hard. Great mechanics, keeping everything the same and keep it rolling.
Tatum quite rightly saying that he doesn't understand why there's a delay when that only makes the track wetter - and we know that this track can take rain. King won the title in very wet conditions. As he says that, the riders appear for Heat 17 (21:20) ...
Heat 17: Harris, Nicholls, Worrall, Starke
Line Up: Nicholls, Harris, SWorrall, Starke
Comments: Track conditions haven't made a difference. Nicholls seemed OK on the inside line, but Harris high and wide cut back off B2, L2 to pass Nicholls down the back straight on the inside into B3. Nicholls switched to the outside, and Worrall then looked likely to take second, but Nicholls came back.
Heat 18: Schlein, Bewley, King, Lawson.
Line Up: Bewley, Schlein, King, Lawson
Comments: Schlein away quickly riding high and wide, with Bewley holding a tight inside line. King buzzing around. Schlein switched to the inside, and Bewley had to change his line - King not far off at the end. very close without any dramatic place changes. Lawson watching from a long way back.
Heat 19: (Re-run) Ellis, Wright, Lambert, Howarth (FX)
Line Up: Lambert, Ellis, Wright, Howarth
Comments: Ellis quickly away. Howarth chasing in fourth down back straight, ran into back of Wright, and did really well to control his fall into the air fence on bend 3. Howarth excluded.
Re-run: Lambert made the start. Ellis high adn wide took the elad off Bend 4, and Wright came through on the inside to second at the same time. Lambert briefly re-took second, before Wright made it safe.
Steve Brandon interviewed Schlein before re-run of 19: went back to "Plan A" after trying different options, and was pleased to get a win. Looking forward to rest of the season.
Heat 20: Cook, Kerr, Barker, Rowe
Line Up: Cook, Rowe, Kerr, Barker
Comments: Kerr needs the win, but Cook quickest away and Barker into second off bend 2. Kerr finally passed Barker on the last lap.
Adverts. Ellis and Wright directly to the Final. Nicholls, Howarth, Harris, and Bewley in the semi-final race-off for the other two places.
Semi-Final: Bewley, Harris, Howarth, Nicholls
Line Up: Harris, Bewley, Howarth, Nicholls
Comments: After a close opening lap Bewley out-raced them all, and Harris was safe in second.
Adverts. Stead says that he would like Ellis to win.
Grand Final: Ellis, Bewley, Wright, Harris
Line Up: Ellis, Wright, Bewley, Harris
Comments: Ellis away like a rocket. Bewley won the battle for second with Wright.
Interview with Ellis: Team did really well, got the set-ups sorted. Happy with the draw to get gates 3 & 4 out of the way. Had kind of wanted the Final to be on a smaller track, because I haven't done so well here, but rather like it now British Champion!!
