Comments: Tapes are held an awfully long time but once they're released it's Lindgren away first with Hellstrom-Bangs not far behind. Czech pair have no answer.

Comments: Stopped. Aarnio comes down on the opening bend. All 4 Back.
Re-Run: Aarnio has a little nibble but punishes himself and the red lights don't come on. Michelsen gates. Lahti gives Madsen a shove on the opening bend. Madsen all over Lahti before runing wide on Bend 3 Lap 2 and drops back. Madsen gains again on Lahti but can't get past him.

Comments: Slovenian pair fly out of the start. Becker passes Ivacic at the end of Lap 3 and Skorja at the end of Lap 3. Skorja then falls on the final bend gifting the USA a heat advantage.

Comments: Lindgren gates. Zmarzlik gets the better of Aspgren off Bend 2. Aspgren all out of shape on Bend 2 Lap 2, somehow stays on but drops a long way back before pulling out of the race.

Comments: From The Gate.

Heat 18: Becker, Madsen, Michelsen, Borello. (Den 5-4 USA)
Line Up: Madsen, Michelsen, Nicol Borello, Becker
Comments: Denmark gate. Michelsen on one wheel down the backstraight on the opening lap and drops to third. Madsen then gets out of shape on Bend 2 Lap 2 but somehow manages to stay on. Borello almost a lap behind.

Heat 19 (Re-Run X2): Zmarzlik, Lahti, Kubera, Aarnio (Excluded). (Pol 6-3 Fin)

Comments: Stopped. Aarnio gets a flier and a warning for his efforts.
Re-Run: Stopped. Aarnio moves again and is now excluded.

Comments: From The Gate.

Comments: Lindgren gates, shrugs off the Michelsen challenge and clears off but Michelsen regains ground and passes Lindgren. Aspgren and Madsen, at the back, struggling with the conditions and pass and re-pass.
