Comments: Wright makes it round Wethers on bend 1 lap 1. Wethers puts him under pressure until bend 4 lap 1 when Wright pulls away for an easy win in the fastest time of the season.

Heat 02: Edwards,Jenkins,Congreve,Complin (EX) 1-5 (4-8) 63.4
Line Up: Complin, Congreve, Edwards, Jenkins
Comments: STOPPED just as the tapes go up the red lights come on because there is no skirt on the air fence where the pits gate is.
Re-Run: STOPPED Complin falls when challanging Jenkins on the outside bend 3 lap 1. It's a soft fall but lets the bike go which ends up out by the air fence . Complin up & ok walking back to the its but is disqualified from the re-run.
Re-run X 2: Easy from the gate for the bears Edwards looked very smooth & equalled Wrights time from heat 1.

Line Up: J.Wright, Clegg, Riss, Andersen
Comments: Both bears went past Clegg bends 3 & 4 lap 1 , The it was easy for them after that. Clegg retired at the end of lap 3 when last.

Comments: Wethers & Kerr clash going into bend 1 with Kerr dropping back. But he quickly passes Complin & chases hard after Wethers appearing to clash again bend 1 lap 4 with Kerr just keeping 3rd. Jenkins away & gone.

** Small delay because the paramedic has been called to the pits to look at Matthew Wethers after his clashes with Lewis Kerr **
** Wethers is withdrawn with a foot injury. He wanted to continue but the paramedic has signed him out the meeting against his wishes , Newcastle will use IRR **

Comments: Roynon makes a mistake bend 2 lap 1 which allows J.Wright into 3rd. C.Wright chased Clegg hard but C.Wright makes a mistake bend 2 lap 3 which allowed Clegg to get away.

Comments: Tapes went up & nobody moved because the green light didn't come on, They have now called for the track electrician.
Re-run: Kerr inside Howarth bend 4 lap 1 for an easy 5-1 to the Bears. Kerr lost his steel shoe during the race.

Comments: Complin & Jenkins come together out the start , Jenkins gestures to Complin , texter followed the other 2 riders who raced on so missed what happened but Complin is disqualified .
Re-Run:C.Wright goes up the inside of Howarth bend 2 lap 1 & disappeared into the distance despite a couple of small mistakes.

Comments:STOPPED Redcar gate on a 5-1 but Clegg & Complin come together on bend 2 lap 1 which causes Clegg to fall. Clegg is not happy with Complin ,he clearly thinks Complin is at fault & the referee agrees because Complin is disqualified.
Re-run: Clegg goes out wide bend 1 & 2 lap 3 & cuts back under a napping Jenkins then closes down on Andersen but not near enough to pass him. Jenkins admonishes himself after the race.
