Line Up: Zagar, Brennan, Doyle, Starke

Etheridge gates. Hume close behind. Summers has bike issues on the opening bends and Blodorn is quickly into third. Blodorn chases down Hume and catches him going into bend 3 lap 3. They’re neck and neck going into Bend 1 Lap 4 but it’s Blodorn who emerges in front. Brilliant ride from the young German. Summers warned, after the race, for moving at the start.

Line Up: Fricke, Etheridge, King, Tungate
Comments: Witches once again gate better than the aces. King looks for the dirt which halts Tungate’s blast round the boards. Fricke and Etheridge both come under Tungate off Bend 2. Fricke chases after King and dives inside him into Bend 1 Lap 3. Fricke goes into Bend 3 Lap 3 a little wide and King dives up the inside. How they didn’t clash I’ll never know. Heat 08: Brennan, Starke, Blodorn, Hume 61.25 4-2 (31-17)
Line Up: Brennan, Blodorn, Starke, Hume
Comments: Brennan gates but Starke rides a great backstraight to cut to the inside into Bend 3 and pass Brennan on the inside. Starke carries a little too much speed into the bend, drifts wide and Brennan cuts back to repass him. Blodorn then joins the party and almost catches Starke on the final bends.

Heat 09: Kurtz, Wright, Batchelor, Doyle (Ret) 60.62 5-1 (36-18)
