Comments: Masters gated and went off to win comfortably. Fredriksen pushed Summers out of bend 1 lap 1. Summers tried everything he had to try and get 3rd but Fredriksen covered it well.

Heat 02: Hook, Sarjeant, Newman, Andersen (R) 5-1 (9-3)
Line Up: Sarjeant, Hook, Newman, Andersen
Comments: Stopped. Andersen made a great start but then they all came together in the first turn with Hook, Newman and Andersen all coming down. Hook up and ok. Newman up and ok. Andersen up and ok. All 4 back for the re run.
Re Run: The Monarchs pair left the Bears behind as they romped away from the start. Andersen seemed to be gaining on Sarjeant before he locked up bend 4 lap 3 and later retired.

Comments: Thomson flew out the traps for a tapes to flag victory, Castagna nipped up the inside of Jenkins exiting bend 2 lap 1.

Line Up: Pickering, Hook, Kerr, Andersen
Comments: Andersen made the start but Pickering flew around him down the backstraight to win easily. Hook slid off bend 3 lap 2 but remounted and finished the race.

Heat 05: Summers, Thomson, Castagna, Jenkins 3-3 (19-11)
Line Up: Thomson, Castagna, Summers, R/R - Jenkins
Comments: Summers flew from the gate for the lead. Jenkins went far too wide bend 3 lap 1 which caused him to drop away. Thomson pressed Summers but Summers was equal to every move. Monarchs comfortable in 2nd and 3rd.

Heat 06: Masters, Kerr, Fredriksen, Newman 4-2 (23-13)
Line Up: Masters, Fredriksen, Kerr, Newman
Comments: Kerr gated but Masters was quick to get past and fly off for the win, Fredriksen was pressing around the outside of Newman and finally got what he deserved as he came around Newman bend 2 lap 4 to take 3rd.

Comments: Pickering gated and was in the distance from there. Jenkins was in 3rd before he went far too wide bend 3 lap 1 which left him well at the back.

Comments: Stopped. Newman made the start before Fredriksen and Andersen came together bend 1 causing Fredriksen to come down. All 4 back. Fredriksen up and ok.
Re Run: Newman's bike went bang on the start line. Andersen challenged Fredriksen for a few laps before Fredriksen pulled clear well spaced out after that.

Comments: Newman excluded for exceeding the 2 minute time allowance. Andersen replaces him.
Re Run: Stopped. Castagna gated and took the lead before he lifted on the backstraight which caused a knock on effect with all 4 riders down. Castagna up and ok. Andersen up and ok. Thomson up but holding his hand. Thomson excluded from the re run. Kerr up and in the pits.
Re Run: Castagna gated and that was that easy win.
