Comments: FTG.
Supported by Maitland Travel www.maitlandtravel.co.uk - providers of Speedway Holidays and bespoke travel all over the world
Heat 02: Edwards, Harrison, Complin, Smith (Ret) 5-1 (10-2)
Line Up: Edwards, Harrison, Complin, Smith
Comments: FTG. Smith slowed on the third lap while third. Complin made up loads of ground on Harrison, who got in a tangle on B1/2 L4, but couldn't challenge.
Supported by Friends Of Steve Casey - Always An Ace
Heat 03: RERUN: Basso, Tarasenko, Bailey, Sedgmen (FX) 1-5 (11-7)
Line Up: Bailey, Sedgmen, Basso, R/R - Tarasenko
Comments: STOPPED. Basso away quickly, but Sedgmen straightened dramatically inside Bailey on first bend and carried him at speed into the airfence. Both being tended to by Medics. Greg Blair for BSN called the problem - Sedgmen's chain went, which explained why he straightened so quickly. Sedgmen excluded. Both riders up and walked back to the pits.
BSN camera in pits shows Bailey's engine and clutch being put into a different frame! Hume and Basso are there with mechanics, and Adam Roynon is also in the action. Rear wheel now being fitted.
Justin Sedgmen has been withdrawn from the meeting after taking a bang to the head in the fall. IRR will operate.
Re-run: FTG. After the complete rebuild, Bailey nursed his bike round for two laps and coasted over the line a long way behind.

Heat 04: Riss, Tarasenko, Smith, Harrison (F-rem) 3-3 (14-10)
Line Up: Riss, Harrison, Tarasenko, Smith

Heat 05: Harris, Hume, Brennan, Bailey (FX) AWARDED 2-4 (16-14)
Line Up: Bailey,Sedgmen IRR - Hume, Harris, Brennan
Comments: STOPPED: Harris away, and although he grabbed a load of grip on B2, L2 he held on and was leading clearly. Bailey slid off on top of B1/2 L3 when in third place, and is excluded - with the race awarded. Rerun shows that Bailey got very close to Hume's back wheel, and taking avoiding action caused his fall.
Supported by Rails of Sheffield
Heat 06: Tarasenko, King, Hume, Complin 3-3 (19-17)
Line Up: King, Hume, Tarasenko, Complin
Comments: FTG. Tarasenko won as the Redcar boys just came round the fourth bend. Complin equally far behind them.

Interview with Connor Bailey: Frame destroyed in the fall - a knock to the wallet. I wanted the engine in my second machine because it's set up for this track.
Heat 07: Basso, Edwards, Smith, Riss (NF) 2-4 (21-21)
Line Up: Riss, Edwards, Basso, R/R - Smith
Comments: Great ride by Smith around the outside of everyone to join Basso. Basso clearly much faster, and although he tried to signal Smith to stay low, he just couldn't protect him. Edwards came around the outsdie of Edwards off B2, L2. Riss tailed off at the back and didn't finish.
Supported by Fina Watson Art finawatsonart.com

Heat 11: Harris, Riss, Brennan, King (Fell) 2-4 (29-37)
Line Up: Riss,Edwards T/S King, Harris, Brennan
Comments: King as T/S for Edwards. Brennan on very clean and shiny bike, so must be trying his second machine. Riss in the elad off B2, with HArris in third. HArris outside BRennan on B3/4 L1, then launched outside Riss on B/2 L2. King never in it, and slid off B1, L4.

Heat 12: Edwards, Basso, Complin, Bailey (Fell) 3-3 (32-40)
Line Up: Bailey,Harrison Edwards, Basso, Complin
Comments: Reserve switch by the Bears. Great ride by Edwards, who kept it on down the back straight of L1, and came across Basso into B3. Edwards then rode a solid race - his upright style a big contrast to the all action Basso, who couldn't find an inside line, and Edwards blocked the outside. Bailey fell on B1 L2 and cleared the track.

Lee Complin in BSN booth: Last time here the track had more moisture. I got set-up totally wrong tonight, but now sorted it out. Hard but fair ride with Danyon Hume in Heat 8 - he was on the slicker bit and I got the grip round the outside. Dedicate tonight's win to my two boys watching at home.
Heat 13: Harris, Riss, Tarasenko, King 2-4 (34-44)
Line Up: King, Riss, Harris, Tarasenko
Comments: FTG. Riss challenged Harris early on, but then it settled and King was never in it.

Heat 15: Harris, Edwards, Riss, Basso 3-3 (39-51)
Line-up: Edwards, Riss, Harris, Basso
Comments: Bears take 2&4. Harris flew around the outside. Edwards another solid ride. Basso made a mess of B1/2 L2 trying to go outside Edwards, and then chased Riss, only just missing out on the line.
