Line Up: Harris, Pearson, Cook (15m), Zischke
Comments: Cook excluded for not being ready at expiry of 2 mins. Bit of a controversial decision as he was at tapes in good time and looked as ready at the other 3. He'll go off 15metres.
Zischke gated and led all the way till he suddenly slowed off bend 4 lap 4. Harris had been giving is all throughout the 4 laps to pass but was beaten till Zischke slowed. Cook never really made up any ground throughout the 4 laps.

Comments: Tigers gated and were largely untroubled. Smith had a fairly comfortable lead over Celina throughout

Line Up: Flint, Starke, Thompson, Vissing
Comments: Comets made the gate, Flint blasted under them off bend 2 to lead. Thompson charged round him bend 3 lap 1 then sped off to a convincing win. Vissing and Starke passed and repassed over the first lap or so before Vissing pulled clear.

Heat 04: Smith, Batchelor, Worrall, Liebmann 4-2 16-8 59.58
Line Up: Worrall, Smith, Batchelor, Liebmann
Comments: Smith electric from the start and had a clear lead as they hit bend 1. Smith had Batchelor all over him for the 4 laps but Batchelor stuck to the inside line to try to pass and Smith was able to hold him off. Worrall passed Liebmann bends 3 & 4 lap 1. Worrall got pretty much alongside Batchelor on lap 3 before dropping back.

Comments: Comets gate, Flint and Zischke neck and neck into bend 3. Zischke then pulls clear as the race goes on and its a comfortable 5-1. Starke pulled up lap 4 when last.

Comments: Harris just got the better of Batchelor on the opening bends and he won with ease. Good scrap between Pearson and Batchelor who were neck and neck for a couple of laps before Pearson pulled clear.

Line Up: Worrall, Hodder, Thompson, Vissing
Comments: Thompson made the gate but Worrall challenges him on the inside line into bend 3 lap 1, this allows Vissing to fly round him on the outside line and join Thompson out front. Worrall kept the pressure on Vissing without ever really looking like passing.

Comments: Harris makes the gate and is untroubled throughout. All the action is between Pearson and Thompson who have a great battle for the first 3 laps, Pearson then looks to have made a move stick to take 3rd, but he runs wide bend 2 lap 4 and Thompson passes him.

Comments: The Tigers just get the better of their opposite numbers on lap 1. Its then two races in one, with the two Comets snapping at the heels of the Tigers without managing to pass.
