Track grading, but no sign of water.
Lee Kilby in the pits with Richie Hawkins: Massive 5-1, don't want to be chasing. Pawlicki is definitely a trump card. We've had gate 4, which is tough early on. Nicholls blew an engine - referee confirmed the riders were under orders, so he wasn't in power when the race was stopped because of the tapes infringement by Cook. We've got to fight tonight, to try to keep it tight.

Line Up: Cook, Sedgmen, R/R - Rew, Hodder

Supported by Fina Watson Art finawatsonart.com
Track grading. Tracks was watered.
Norick Blödorn watching replay of the race - Sedgmen doesn't really hold the line and I got through. It looks like a small track, but it actually rides quite big. Only my second time here - thanks to Ipswich for giving me the opportunity. Being a guest not like being in your own team, but when you've got the helmet on, you're doing your job.
Heat 08: Jenkins, Lampart, Flint, Rew 60.34 3-3, 27-21
Line Up: Lampart, Flint,Hodder Rew, Jenkins

Re-start: Stopped! Nicholls drives into the tapes - you can see his frustration, as he throws his head back and bumps his front wheel up and down untangling the tapes. Rew replaces him.
Rerun: Super first couple of bends by the Witches, with Rew joining Blödorn on the outside. Rew continued to ride a wide line, and held it well. Brennan had to get past Lampart, and was never close.

Interval. Track grading. Schlein down on the track: the inside is absolutely bare, he reckons the fastest line is going to be on the kerb.
Water bowser on the track after the grading. Water has gone down outside, and the rakers are now pulling shale over it from the piles by fence.

Comments: In the pits, they show the R/R tyre being fitted to Blödorn's back wheel. I have to admit, I hadn't thought about that! The tyre is swapped to reach rider taking the respective R/R ride. Blödorn quickly away. Brennan tried the outside on Bend 2, but couldn't get his wheels in line.
