Heat 01: Crump,Schlein,Kroner,Hougaard 3-3 56.8 NEW TRACK RECORD!
Hougaard taking RR for Belle Vue and Schlein taking RR for Ipswich. Easy from the gate for Crump, Kroner just about made the 2 mins, his first bike packed up at the start whilst he was doing a bit of gardening. The track is already throwing up some dust. Youngy thinks the track staff are taking it in turns to blow the air fence up...he will let us know as soon as the riders are on 2 mins.

Heat 02: Re-run Schramm,Johnston,Hougaard,Simmons(F/Ex) 1-5 59.8 4-8
Simmons clipped the back of Schramm and came off, Schramm then making contact with the fence on bend 2. Both riders are up and ok although there will be a delay while they repair the fence. Simmons is excluded from the re-run. In the re-run, Hougaard gated but locked up on bend 2, Witches pair went up the inside, good ride from Johnston protecting Schramm

Heat 03: Forsberg,Gjedde,Hampel,Miskowiak 5-1 57.8 9-9
Hampel gated but struggled on bend 1, Forsberg passed him on the inside and Gjedde on the outside of bend 2, Hampel battled hard and kept Gjedde on his toes, Miskowiak tailed off and gave up at the start of lap 4.

Hougaard did exactly the same as heat 2, gated then locked up on bend 2. Schlein easy as you like up the inside, Screen looking like a novice at the back and never looked like passing Schramm.

Screen taking RR. Schlein gated but Crump was ruthless down the backstraight to pass Rory,Screen went around Johnston on bend 1 lap 2 only to lock up on bend 2 which allowed Johnston back into third...Ippo boys are really battling tonight!

From the gate, Hampel on Screen's back wheel the whole race, Simmons fell on bend 3 lap 1, rolled over about 10 times then got up to clear his bike off the track, he was at the back.

Witches win the toss and take gates 1 and 3
Bizarre race, Schlein gates and takes Crump wide, Crump hits the fence just coming off bend 2 and rips off one of the sponsors panels, this causes Hampel to stop, Crump slows right down thinking the race would be stopped but no red lights. Crump finishes 3/4 of a lap behind the front 2.....race should have been stopped because of the air fence panel.

Weather is lovely and sunny although there are a few drops of rain despite it being so nice.
Tracks looks very good but it will need constant watering.
