Swindon win the toss and take gates 1&3. Zetterstrom got away from the gate like lightning. Adams in hot pursuit and went by on the back straight of lap 1. Zetterstrom kept Adams honest all the way home. Wright looked outpaced at the back.

Heat 02: Pavlic, Eriksson, Hauzinger, Davidsson (EF). (4-2) 7-5...67.87
Hauzinger away first but hit the kerb on bend 2 and went to the back. Davidsson away and gone for 3 laps when his chain snapped on the home straight gifting Swindon the points. Congratulations must go to Davidsson for getting his bike clear without interfering with any other rider.

Pedersen like a rocket from the start and never looked like getting caught. Good tussle for second between Korneliussen and Skornicki.

Heat 04: Pavlic, Watt, Eriksson, Batchelor. (3-3) 12-12...66.86
Eriksson replaces Davidsson. Batchelor excluded for failing to make the 2 minutes and will now go 15mtrs back. Pavlic like a scalded cat from the gate and showed some skill in picking the right lines to stop Watt's charge. Batchelor never really got close to getting in the points.

Pirates gated on a max. McGowan got into second on the back straight of lap 1 and held it for 2 laps until Zetterstrom passed him on the home straight of lap 3. McGowan tried hard to get past but fell on bend 4 lap 4 trying to pass on the outside. Korneliussen completely missed the gate.

Good scrap up front for 2 laps until Pedersen decided to fly. Skornicki was a comfortable third until he made a mess of bend 2 lap 2 which let Hauzinger through. Good ride from Hauzinger to hold third.
