Comments: Even break from the tapes but Islanders best on the opening turns. Starke through with a great ride to go from 3rd to 1st, passing Felton on the inside of bend 4 lap 2and then got Warwick on the inside of bend 2, lap 3. Smethills poor at the back.

Comments: From the gate for Stephens who gated like a scalded cat! Hopwood kept him honest thought. Gough struggling! Track riding fast and looking smooth.

Comments: Warwick to take RR. Devils gated but for first two laps, Smethills then went backwards! He then got it together to re-gain 3rd place after Warwick drifted wide on bend 4 of lap 2.

Line Up: Simmonds, Bates, Hopwood, Hodgson
Comments: Simmonds with a great cut back on bend 1 lap 1 to lead and win by a mile. Bates flew between the two Islanders on bend 3 lap 1 to take second with a great pass! Islanders could make no impression.

Heat 07: Stephens, Felton, Warwick, Pickard(F) N/T 3-3 (23-19)
Line Up: Stephens, Pickard, Warwick, Felton
Comments: Stephens gated and led comfortably throughout. Pickard passed Warwick entering lap2 and chased Felton. He nearly got him a couple of times and then on the final turn made a big effort to pass Felton on the inside, but the veteran held his line. Pickard clipped his back wheel and clattered the safety fence head on! After treatment he appeared to be struggling to breathe but he is now up and walking back to the pits. Slight delay as they repair the fence.

Comments: Hopwood to take RR. From the gate, but a big hole and I mean big, has appeared on bend 3 and is causing problems!

Comments: Smethills gated but Hopwood passed him with a great pass around the boards on bend 4 lap 1. Starke who was third hit the hole on bend 3 on the second lap and careered towards the fence, he fell but re-mounted only to retire.

Line Up: Simmonds, Bates, Warwick, Felton
Comments: Great race all four having a ding dong. Felton won from the gate but Simmonds kept him honest although he refused to ride the fast outside line. Warwick and Bates passed and re-passed with Bates just getting it on the final bend. Race of the night!

Comments: From the gate but Jones all over Stephens for all four laps, but track riding a little bit too slick to pass on the outside. Great effort by the young lad. Gough fell and retired on bend 1 of lap 2 when about 3 weeks behind!

Comments: What a ride by Jones! Awesome! Devils gated but Jones split them on the back straight of the opening lap, it continued 3 a breast until the exit of bend 4 but Jones held his line and went away to win with ease. Hopwood passed Stephens on the inside of bend 2, lap 3.

Comments: Gough for Pickard. Smethills and Felton from the tapes but Felton took the inside line and exited bend 2 in front. Hill passed Gough on the final bend up the inside. Mikey says that this is the poorest Plymouth side he has ever seen, simply not good enough! Effort is there but the quality from 1-7 isnt!

Mikey says good evening and welcome to the SBA, weather is stunning, sunny and really warm. Mr Bowden has had a lot of work done to the track this week to get rid of the bumps, so we shall see how that goes, Bowden reckons it will ride as smooth as a motorway, we shall see!!!! But to be fair it looks very good, watered nicely and after speaking to Starkey he reckons its awesome!
Isle of Wight win the toss and take gates 1 and 3.
