Hughes locked up bend 4 lap 1, but was far enough ahead to maintain the lead... Howarth fell remounted bend 1 lap 2 when last, up and ok... Shields retired with an ef back straight lap 3 when in second

Neath out of the gate and off!!... Diamonds packed in for the minor places, but Ekberg passed Lemon bend 3 lap 1... King did well to hold off Ekberg
