Jimmy “LittleAnimal” Fishback shocked his competition with a fantastic move to win the mainevent for the second time this season on Armed Forces Night at IndustrySpeedway. FormerWorld Champion Billy “The Bullet” Hamill and Charlie “The Edge” Venegas bothentered the main event undefeated and a coin toss was held to determine whowould have first gate choice. Venegaswon the toss and chose gate one while Hamill took gate two. Venegas was first off the line when the tapeswent up and led into turn one. Fishbackwent around Hamill in turn one then got his wheels in line exiting turn two andnudged Venegas aside on the back straight for the lead. Hamill followed Fishback past Venegasentering turn three to grab second. Fishback led after one lap but he had Hamill breathing down hisneck. Hamill hounded Fishback theremaining three laps, but was unable to force a mistake. Fishback coolly held him off for thehard-earned victory. Austin Novratil wasthird, Venegas finished fourth, and “Flyin” Mike Faria was fifth. Shawn “MadDog” McConnell opened the heats with a win over Faria. Venegas trapped from the outside and scoredhis first win in event two. Fishbackbeat Michael Raines to win event three. Hamill ended the first round with his first win. Hamillbegan the second round by beating Fishback for his second straight win. Novratil beat Raines in event 10. Venegas defeated McConnell for his secondvictory. “Nasty” Nate Perkins beat AaronFox to end round two. McConnellopened the final round by beating Tyson Talkington for his second win. Hamill maintained his perfect score with awin over Castro. Faria held off Fishbackfor his first win. Venegas matchedHamill’s perfection by beating Novratil in the final heat race. Castro madethe best start in the first semi but Hamill charged up the inside followed byNovratil and both riders transferred to the main event. Venegas and Fishback finished one-two in thesecond semi to book their places in the main. Faria won the Last Chance to fill the final spot in the main-eventfield. The SupportMain Event began with a father-son battle between Rick “The Rage” Valdez andGabe Price. After racing side-by-side onthe back straight, Valdez used a shrewd cutback move to take the lead from hisson as they exited turn four. AlthoughPrice sought revenge the entire race, he was unable to regain the lead. Valdez won the race and bragging rights overhis son, Price finished second, Harold Hartke was third, and Jake Myers wasfourth. Kip McClainled the Support B Main Event for three laps before Craig Sprecher passed himfor the lead and his second victory of the season. Kevin Fife finished third and Kevin Johnsonwas fourth. SamuelRamirez defeated Kurtis Hamill in the Youth 250cc Main Event. DaltonLeedy made the best start in the Youth 200cc Main Event, but Shea Bendykowskitook the lead on the back straight. Bendykowski never looked back from there and went on to victory. Leedy held on to second, Broc Nicol wasthird, Sebastian Palmese finished fourth, and Michael Wells was fifth. AlyssaSmith continued her domination by winning the Pee Wee Main Event for the fourthtime in a row. Dominic Laney finished second,Jake Isaac was third, Dylan Smith finished fourth, Walker Calvo was fifth, andGarrett Briggs finished sixth.
