Heat Results
Bandits win toss and take 1 and 3. Mikey says it has started raining
Heat 01: Alden, Lindgren, Barker, Smart 50.59; 1-5
Line Up: Barker, Smart, Alden,Lindgren
Comments: Barker beaten for the 1st time in 31 races round SBA! Bandits gated like mad men and Barker was getting filled in and took his goggles off on lap 3 and threw them into the crowd! To no avail though.
Sponsored by www.enjaydesigns.co.uk
Heat 02: Hughes, Davey, Franchetti, Mudgway (Fell); 52.91; 4-2; 5-7
Line Up: Hughes, Franchetti, Davey, Mudgway
Comments: From the gate for Hughes. Mudgway fell 1st bend and wasn't happy that the race continued but to be fair he looked to fall on his own.
Sponsored by Steve Dixon www.stevedixonphotography.co.uk [/b]
Rain has stopped
Heat 03: Franc, Smith, Stichauer, Kristiansen (F/EX) ; 53.37; 1-5; 6-12
Line Up: Stichauer, Kristiansen, Smith, Franc
Comments: Stopped. Smith looked to jump the start but ref let it go, he and Kristiansen were wheel to wheel around turns 1 and 2 but Kristiansen just drifted too wide, clipped the fence and fell, looked nasty but he is up and ok. Kristiansen excluded from the re run.
Mikey says sticky is a hero. Pulls a wheelie coming out of pits for the re run, fell off, the crowd cheers and he bows in appreciation, mikey says hes a legend!
Re run: Bandits gated and looked comfortable. Kozza had a couple of wobbles but not in any real danger.

Heat 04: Complin, Mudgway, Franchetti, Wells; 53.72; 1-5; 7-17
Line Up: Wells, Franchetti, Complin, Mudgway
Comments: Super gating from the Bandits pair, left the Devils for dead. Wells tried to go around Mudgway exiting bend 4 of opening lap but had the door firmly shut. After that both Gino and Wells all over Mudgway but great defending from Mudga. Bandit fans going mental!
Sponsored by Friends of Edinburgh Speedway www.foes.info/
Heat 05: Alden, Lindgren, Stichauer, Kristiansen; 51.44; 1-5; 8-22
Line Up: Stichauer, Kristiansen, Alden, Lindgren
Comments: Bandits just to good (updaters face at the moment ;D). Alden super classy from tapes to flag. Sticky gated 2nd but lindgren flew round him exiting bend 4 lap 1. Bandits 1st away very much on the cards! (updaters comment: Don't get excited just yet )

Heat 06: BARKER, Complin, Davey, Smart; 51.15; 6-3; 14-25
Line Up: BARKER, Smart, Complin, Davey

Barker and Complin gated and Complin drifted Barker wide but the Devil kept it on to get round him and wins with ease. Complin quick though. Smart never close.

Heat 07: Smith, Franchetti, Wells, Mudgway; 52.35; 3-3; 17-28
Line Up: Wells,Hughes Franchetti, Smith, Franc (EX) Mudgway
Comments: Franchetti in for Hughes. Pepe's bike gave up on start and is excluded for 2 mins. Mudgway replaces him.
A stunning ride from Kozza!! Devils gated and were team riding away a 5-1. Kozza had none of it trying to pass for 3 laps before he flew round Welld bend 4 lap 3 hitting the fence in the process, he then kept it round on to somehow pass round Gino on last bend, brilliant race!

Heat 08: Lindgren, Davey, Smart, Hughes (EF); 52.44; 1-5; 18-33
Line Up: Smart,Franchetti Hughes, Lindgren, Mudgway Davey
Comments: Hughes in for Gino and Davey in for Mudgway
Bandits gated and Devils didn't. Bandits fans going crazy and to be fair Berwick deserve the lead, by far the better team, attacking the track and gating brilliantly! Mikey reckons it will 4 points back to the border country.

Heat 09: Complin, Stichauer, Davey, KRISTIANSEN (F/EX) Awarded; 2-4; 20-37
Line Up: Stichauer, KRISTIANSEN, Complin, Davey
Comments: Kristiansen TR
Stopped. Mikey says this was a horrible crash. Complin away and gone with Devils in 2nd and 3rd, then exiting bend 4 lap 2 sticky picked up grip as Kristiansen moved up his inside. He flew straight over the fence like a rag doll. Awful incident. Kristiansen excluded. Sticky up and walking back to the fence seems ok . Delay while repairs take place to fence.

Line Up: Wells, Hughes, Alden, Lindgren

Stopped. Kozza under the tapes, timed to perfection but ref not happy, all 4 back.
Re run: Hughes with a great gate but just left the door open for Smith on bend 3 of opening lap and Smith duly obliged. Better from the Devils there. Too little to late though!

Alden rode the guts off his bike to hold off the hard charging Barker. Berwick superb all night. Alden best visitor here all season by a mile, so so impressive. Bandits fans singing 'I just can't get enough' ;D and he might join in. Good night
